First, what a disaster. I can't believe they put ou vs bama in round 1; they just played a month ago. James Madison and Tulane above Notre Dame? I know they had to take 1 but 2? I'm thinking they are building the case for excluding g6. With that, we've already seen the tulane vs ole miss matchup in Sept--it was ugly.

Snubbing Notre Dame and 2 g6 bloodbaths? I'm worried there are some ulterior motives going on.

Huh? The motive of following their own current rules and not getting sued for a bunch of money seems the most likely. The current rules provide for 5 autobids to the 5 highest ranked conference champions and 7 at large bids. No way that a 5 loss Duke should be in over Tulane or JMU.

The only real discussion was whether Alabama, Miami or Notre Dame should get the final 2 spots. Miami beat Notre Dame head to head so they are in. Alabama’s schedule was 10x more difficult than Notre Dame’s so that is why they were presumably ranked higher by the committee.

While I don't expect either of the g6 games to be competitive, I think its great that 2 got in by virtue of being "ranked higher" than Duke out of the ACC.

I understand the Duke issue and the committee had to with the way they ranked previously.

Still, when the g6 gets waxed and notre dame being left out is going to do 2 things. 1 increase pressure on notre dame to join a conference and 2 leave g6 out of automatic process.
