Parker Stewart might commit to a school this week.

I still think Nebraska is a real threat. They may not be on the level of a Michigan State or Wisconsin in the Big Ten, but it's still a Big Ten school with world class facilities.

Great facilities and great fan support, especially considering their historic lack of success in the sport. Their FB support is impressive I suppose but it's easy when you win for 50 straight years or so to varying levels. The fact that they draw well in Basketball now (not always the case) is pretty impressive for a lower tier Big 10 team.

Based on this article I would say Wyoming is probably 3rd on his list of the 3 schools but we will see what happens.

Would be a great pick up for us but not really seeing it happening.

What part of this article makes you think we're third? Seems open ended to me.

The fact he thinks Nebraska's facilities are the best he has seen and Ole Miss is closest to home. He did leave it open ended but didn't say much about Wyoming. I hope you guys are right and he picks us. Just to me get the sense we are closer to third then we are to number one.

Well he was talking about immediate playing time and playing the pg position. I think both of those Wyoming could offer him on a team that is ready to go to the dance his first year
If Parker is talented enough he could even be starting at some point that season. He'd have to earn that big time though going up against Liebs his senior year. UW is in the mix for sure and being in the final 3 for a recruit like this is awesome. If Parker chooses UW that team is just gonna be locked and loaded :eatu:

Out of the places he's been, Nebraska is the top. The three official visits he's taken are Ole Miss, Kansas State, and Nebraska. There's no grey area on that comment. Nebraska definitely leads Ole Miss and Kansas State.

Maybe he scheduled Wyoming last because we've been in the top 2 the whole time, he's already very familiar with Laramie, and he's just trying to see if any other school can beat Wyoming.

Wyoming has pretty nice facilities as well, we have available minutes at point guard(in fact, he could start at point as a freshman on a dance team), and it's a place where his parents both know: it's very easy just to focus on school and basketball.

I don't think we're third. I think we're first, and everyone else is trying to beat us.

I think it's down to us or Nebraska.

With Nebraska taking a commitment from a SG, I am thinking that we are #1 if we weren't before....but I do agree I think that Wyoming has always been the school to beat.

Wyoming has a definite opening for Parker, and has left a scholarship open for him. Hunter Maldonado is not a SG imo, he is more of SF, whereas Parker is a SG, and we don't have a SG commitment in this class. The commitment from Hunter Thompson I do feel helps Wyoming a lot, and I have no doubt that the coaching staff has let Parker know how they structured their scholarships and what Thompson did just to make room for him....this doesn't hurt signing Parker. Wyoming hasn't stopped recruiting for the SG position, and the young man that Wyoming had a home visit the other day I do believe would give Wyoming a commitment is waiting in the wings to find out what happens with Parker. Scholarships are filling up fast, and I do feel that there is pressure on Parker, not just from UW but from all of the schools, to make his decision.

I have thought that this is a really great situation for Parker, coming to UW. In the MW Conference, the way that Edwards is building the team they will be a big competitor for the championship for years to come, and will be a prime NCAA team year in and year out. In the Big 10 (Nebraksa) and the SEC (Miss.) neither of these teams will be competing for championships, just to be one of the last teams considered for the NCAA out of their conferences. In addition, I have no doubt that Parker has seen the two transfers that Wyoming has gotten (Ny & Brodericks) and know that these are the type of guys that will help take Wyoming to the NCAA's year after year.

Don't know how this will go, but I do believe that Wyoming is one of the top 2. Let's hope that he choses Wyoming!

Thought I read or heard that Parker wants to be a PG. Fortunately, we could sure use some PGs. Whatever the case I hope Parker chooses us!

The roster gives him just what he wants: pg minutes, a team with a chance at going to the dance every year he's in Laramie, and a trip to the Caymans as a freshman to play in a big pre-season tournament.

His freshman year:

Seniors: Leiberman, Louis Adams, Gorski, Al Herndon, Johnathan Barners, Hayden Dalton
Juniors: James, Buddha, Naughton
Sophomores: Meuller, Moemeka, Kelly, Averbuck
Freshmen: Hunter Maldonado, Hunter Thompson(taking a redshirt), Parker Stewart.

He could beat Lieberman to the point his freshman year. Even if he didn't, he's going to be in the rotation at 2 guard and point. He would likely be a combo guard that plays point often if he doesn't win the starting position outright.

The years after that, the starting point guard is Parker Stewart. There's no doubting that.

Imagine the line-up his sophomore year. Pg Parker Stewart, 2g Justin James, SF Buddha Jones, PF Hunter Thompson, Jordan Naughton. That's 6'5", 6'7", 6'9", 6'10", 6'10" with three guys rated as four stars in the starting line-up. We would own the MWC with that length and athleticism.

Will Commit to Ole Miss on Wednesday

Some news station in Wilmington, NC...take it for what it's worth.

I don't know who this John Rendleman, the author of that comment, is. It's obvious he hasn't been paying much attention.

Parker was just quoted as saying that Nebraska is on top of all the schools he's visited.

I'll trust Parker's word over his.

Actually Parker never said Nebraska was his top choice he said of all of the places he has been Nebraska had the top facilities.

247 sports is saying Parker's chances of committing to Ole Miss are 100% as well. So I guess we will see.

On his 247 recruiting profile. But for what it's worth, they've had ole miss at 100% since June 1st. Total BS. Like you said before, let's listen to what Parker is saying himself

Yeah I noticed that after looking at it also so who knows.

I think Parker's over the recruiting process.

His twitter page doesn't seem to agree with many of the things in the press, like him committing by Friday. I'm sure he's annoyed by the press saying that he's already committed to Ole Miss.

Yeah, I just saw that Junky. Was going to say, doesn't necessarily sound like he is planning to commit.

I hope he doesn't we have him in town the 1st of October

I don't think you guys are reading emojis right.

How do you get "doesn't sound like he is planning to commit" from "[emoji102][emoji848]"
