Herndon can play guard just fine. Herndon needs to be playing guard so Naughton and Herndon can get in the game together.

I can understand folks frustration with Kelly, but what does it say about Lieberman that Kelly garners so many minutes over him?

Edwards was absolutely irate with Lieberman on an offensive possession late in the game. That's when he sent Kelley to the scorer's table. Clearly there's something Lieberman is struggling with right now. Seemed to be about either the tempo or moving the ball.

Kelley got more minutes because Lieberman had 3 fouls at half and so did Aka Gorski. That is the only reason Kelley got more minutes.

He must see something in Kelley in practice that hasn't shown up in games or he doesn't care for Lieberman. I don't get it.

And why didn't Barnes see any time? He could have fouled out just as easy as anyone else... maybe save a foul or two on a James or Gorski....

Take away Herndon and JJ, and the pokes shot 18% from the floor. FROM THE FLOOR! Lol that's astonishing. 5% from three not counting Herndon and JJ. I don't give 2 shits how bad the refs were, that right there is why we lost.

This was one I was surprised about.

With the yelling at Lieberman I referred to and Barnes not playing, it seems coach is more worried right now about the offensive end, where the four-man group of James, McManamen, Herndon and Dalton along with one of the PGs seems to be one of our better lineups. That's what he was going to late.

No doubt. This isn't a recipe for success.

Anyone know the injury situation? How many played tonight?

JMac, JJ, Herndon, Dalton, Aka Gorski, Kelley, Averbuck, Naughton, Moemeka, Lieberman....

Barnes, Adams, and Marshall didn't?

Adams is hurt...
Barnes isn't skilled enough?
Marshall still can't grasp the schemes?

There's got to be reason these two didn't see time...

I think Junky or someone mentioned pregame that Marshall has a naggy ankle or shin splints or something. Why Barnes doesn't play is something of an enigma especially in a game where fouls were so common that we could'a used him if for nothing else than to soak up a few fouls. Definitely some head scratchers in the rotations right now, but I trust Edwards knows what he's doing :) I will say Adams can't come back quick enough!!

There is no doubt Edwards is the right guy and is going to great things but I wonder if he too isn't going through some growing pains as he learns the difference between being an assistant and a head coach.

Wow, I have to agree with a lot of the comments on this thread. PG play was unacceptable, horrid interior defense, bad three-point shooting.

The best thing about tonight's game is knowing that two of our three current signees were offered by teams that both may be in the AP top 10 at week's end.

Yup. In a Gags article from the 11th, it'd said that Edwards thought he was still a week or two away from being able to play. Now, he got two stints since then, but only for a total of 6 minutes in the Western (4) and Montana (2) games.

As I watched tonight, I could not help but wonder how this team would look if Conway had stuck with basketball. I think his talents would have been a real asset to this team. Right now, both Lieberman and Kelley are liabilities. Coach still has time to right the ship, but it looks like the less these two see the floor, the better off we are going to be.

That coach is making mistakes. Lieberman brings way more than Kelley, which isn't much.
