Wouldn’t the other side be gloating if we took it in the rear?Apparently they have settled the lawsuits without disclosing anything. Pretty sure that means the MW took it in the shorts
If $70 million is the number the dispersement equates to a guaranteed $7.015 million for UW from the first $61 million and then using the same formula another $1.035 million for a total of $8.05 million.I’ve read a couple of articles today from Nevada websites and they are speculating that the total buyout is around $70M. Seems kind of low to me but money in pocket is better than no money at all.

Given that Burman is reimbursing the sheep generously for the privilege to play games in Fart Colons I doubt there will be much left over.
It really puts into perspective how long-term this gamble is. Even if the Pac-12 pays about $3.3 million more per year, you're still looking at roughly five years just to break even after the exit costs. That's a tough pill to swallow.I’ve read a couple of articles today from Nevada websites and they are speculating that the total buyout is around $70M. Smart gamble in my opinion. It isn’t really about the financial outlook of the current PAC vs the current MWC. It’s about putting yourself in position to land in a higher tier when the inevitable reorganization of college football occurs. It really puts into perspective how long-term this gamble is. Waiting until Year 5 before you see any real financial gain means administrators are betting on future value, not immediate returns. If media rights plateau, expenses rise, or the league underperforms competitively, that payoff gets pushed even further out. Five years is a long time to wait just to get back to even.
anything less than half is terrible. weren't exit fees $20M per school? and then $55M in poaching fees? Seems like bare minimum should be $100M for the exit fees70mil is kinda a kick in the nads to us
I was looking at the preseason coaches poll this morning. The MWC has 3 teams receiving votes to the pacs 2. And, if the pacstabbers hadn’t left, we’d have 5 in there, which would be the most in the G5. It is kind of a meaningless poll, but at the same time, it totally illustrates the league would have been better with a merger. They can say what they want about the pac brand, but nobody in the country is buying that the pac is back. It’s just another G6 conference with teams hoping that whenever there is a split they get an invite. Their conference as a whole will never be invited, just like any G6 conference. Some teams MIGHT get an invite and even that’s a big if IMHO. Oh well! Hopefully the Pokes can have a great season, win or at least contend for the championship, and the MWC teams that play against the pacstabbers win!It really puts into perspective how long-term this gamble is.
