OT: Happy 4th. Plans? Recipes?

The 4th of July weekend is coming up. Any cool plans?

We've been traveling so much lately that we are staying home and keeping things pretty quiet. Changing it up with smoked jerk turkey, jalepeno poppers, and potato salad. We just had a big traditional BBQ, so trying something different.

Wish I was in WYO maybe catching a performance at rodeo and then fishing in one of the awesome mountain ranges. Maybe next year.

Looks like Friday I'm headed to Salmon Lake with some friends, then we're driving a little further north to Lincoln, MT for some parade, rodeo, and fireworks. Should be an interesting weekend.

Got a high school reunion in the 11th coolest mountain town in the USA. Or, the #1 place to be over the 4th of July.

Go Pokes!

Since I'll have some peace and quiet for a few days I will finish up my detailed computer analysis of all the key football positions. I will then finalize the play book for 17 field position situations that will guarantee the Pokes
at least a 9-3 record (8-4 if certain injuries occur). No charge to Bohl or Wyoming of course.

I'll also be working on an offensive strategy for Shyatt that will kill the opponents, but the personnel still needs
more computer analysis.

Oh, I've also finished a training schedule for the cross country team that will place them in the top 5 nationally.

Other than that, I'm not doing much or going anywhere. I might finish off my keg of Coors.

I really want to go to Leavenworth on that list. It's a kick ass Bavarian town not far from Seattle. I guess they have a cool Oktoberfest party, and Christmas is supposedly fun there too.

Awesome town, not a summer destination unless you enjoy wildfires and smoke. Leavenworth is only a few miles away from the town in Washington that just lost 28 homes to wildfire.

Interesting that the North Shore was on that list. Fantastic area, but not friendly to tourists and outsiders at all.

Have you got any mosquitos up there in Montana this year? If you don't, we have enough down here in Wyoming this year that we could send you some.

I live in Western Montana, every summer is wildfires and smoke. Since we're in the valley the smoke just sits here. I have a pic on my phone of Montana vs Liberty a couple years ago.. you couldn't see the two mountains behind the stadium from inside the stadium.

Not a lot.. not a ton of mosquitoes in Missoula typically. Even down by the river. Noticed them in Virginia City last weekend though. Blood sucking little a-holes.

It should be pretty quiet on the 4th for me.
Then I'm going on a little European tour to Vienna, Prague, Berlin and Copenhagen.
Maybe I'll do a little more.
Happy 4th of July!!

Headed to Buffalo and the Bighorns for brookie fishing, hanging at Lake Desmet and overall just relaxing a bit if i can
Have a good 4th weekend fellow Pokes Nation fans

Juicy Lucy's and brats on the grill, AMBs on ice, and few games of Corn Hole - all in the backyard. Enjoy the 4th, drink a fifth! You have Sunday to recover.

I don't think I recovered from the 4th it carried over to now I've drunk entirely too much this week.
