Offer Gonzaga a share of football revenue

The Mountain West Conference has to start strengthening itself or it will eventually be picked apart.


Could the MWC do anything financially to get Gonzaga? What was the offer last year? Would giving them a share of football revenue be something ?



Worry about Houston and BYU next. Start with Gonzaga

Interesting article but way too small of sample size. Plus take Gonzaga out of one and put in the other.


Mwc has a lot more strengthening to do. Gonzaga just is priority #1.


Mwc: "lose" the deal financially. So much more to come from having them. Then mwc gets choice of non fb schools. Offer Wichita a quarter of what you give Gonzaga

Adding Gonzaga would do nothing to stop the MWC from "being picked apart". Football drives realignment, Gonzaga wouldn't do anything to stop that from happening.

I get that you find value in your humor and criticism of others. But it's kind of like noise from the backseat. It's hard to listen to your whining if you've got nothing to say.

Yeah me who wants Wyomings conference to get better and a guy who wants to drop to d2 is pretty similar

Even at Kentucky and Kansas around 75 % of revenue is coming from football. No way the conference even considers that as an option. MWC is clearly a football first conference. It will be until these millennia cry babies outlaw the sport in about 40 years...Therefore if Gonzaga wants to join great but were not bending over for a school that doesn't field a football team. That's way too desperate and pathetic.

The MWC took the approach of getting bad enough that nobody would want a MWC team.

Seriously though, just who in the hell are we in jeapordy of losing and to what conference? Anything that starts with MWC team x to P5 conference y is utter nonsense. That leaves us with lateral moves within G5 ranks. There will never be a P6 and TV money is drying up for G5. What move within G5 is worth millions of dollars?

This shit is so 2011.

You are right and it sucks it's headed in that direction. The G5 needs to get creative. There should be a separate playoff for the top G5 teams. As it stands now, a team like USU that has a great year gets rewarded with the potato bowl.
