Offense in 2026....

With all the rules, innovation the last 25 years in offensive systems, to not be able to score a f#####n point is inexcusable.
It seem to be the status quo. The pokes have struggled on offense for a long time. But, you are right, there is no real excuse other than we dont make changes.

If Sawful doesn't make a QB change in San Jose, I am going to have a stroke.
If anyone knows our friend, Peach, be on the lookout for these signs after today's press conference and release of 2-Deep because Sawful is a moron and is going to keep rolling out Hughes as our starter:

B = Balance Loss
Is there a sudden loss of balance or coordination? Is the person having trouble walking or experiencing dizziness?

E = Eye (Vision) Changes
Are there sudden changes in vision? Ask the person if they are experiencing blurred vision, double vision, or loss of sight in one or both eyes.

F = Face Drooping
Does one side of the face droop, or is it numb? Ask the person to smile. Is the person's smile uneven?

A = Arm Weakness
Is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = Speech Difficulty
Is speech slurred or difficult to understand? Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence.

T = Time to Call 911
If you have any of these symptoms or see someone else having them, call 911 immediately!

Way to go, Sawful. Now you are going to kill Peach. This is the worst.

Thank you for the tips. I appreciate it. I wonder how many "false" strokes Sawful and Burman have given the Wyoming fan base the last XXXX years.

I’m too lazy (and sad) down here in my basement to look up where it ranks amongst the shittiest offenses in WYO history thus far.
I’m too lazy to do more than this.

Bohl and Sawful combined

13 seasons 2014 through 2026

Average number of FBS teams 130
Wyoming’s avg total offense rank 103rd
Wyoming’s avg total offense 343.6
Wyoming’s avg offense would rank 107th
The highest avg total offense 434.5 in 2016
The lowest avg total offense 286 in 2017

Bohl only

Avg number FBS teams 129
Wyoming’s avg total offense rank 97th
Wyoming’s avg offense would rank 107th
Wyoming’s avg total offense 353.16
The highest avg total offense 434.5 in 2016
The lowest avg total offense 286 in 2017

Sawful only

Avg number FBS teams 135

Summary

The highest rated offense was the Josh Allen and offensive player leftovers from Christensen in 2016 ranking #48 of 128 teams nationally in total offense.

The lowest rated offense was the Josh Allen with the new style Bohl offensive players in 2017 that ranked #125 of 129 teams nationally in total offense. You can see the effect once Bohl was able to clean house and complete the roster with his players.

Bohl’s offense ranked 82nd and 84th in covid years 2020 and 2021.

Bohl had 4 seasons in 10 with an offense ranked above 100. Two seasons were with Christensen offensive players and the other two the covid years.

Bohl had 6 seasons of 100th to 125th ranked offenses nationally.

Sawful’s best offense to date was the returning players from the last Bohl offense with Svoboda at quarterback in 2024 at 327.3 which was better than the Bohl offenses of 2022 and 2023.

Sawful’s offense dropped off to 314.7 in 2025 which exceeded Bohl’s 2017 and 2022 offenses.

Sawful’s current offense in 2026 at 293.2 is only better than the 2017 Bohl offense.

Since the MWC total offense:

I don’t have the national rankings before 2012 but it would be safe to say 400+ is top 50 and 375-399 in the top 90 nationally.
