It wouldn't have got Junior a job.Was honestly surprised Vigen was not even considered when Bohl retired.

No direct knowledge of the situation but I am guessing Bohl lobbied hard for Sawful and Junior to be promoted. Burman probably didn’t have the balls to say no.It wouldn't have got Junior a job.
I don't either but with how bad this has gone and TB had a few years to evaluate pbj, I just don't see any other alternative that makes sense. Add in the ridiculous contract and the whole thing stinks way too much to just be a blunder. No direct knowledge of the situation but I am guessing Bohl lobbied hard for Sawful and Junior to be promoted. Bohl's fingerprints are all over this hire. I think Bohl's ultimate goal was sawful be HC for a couple years and then young baldy be the next head coach. No direct knowledge of the situation but I am guessing Bohl lobbied hard for Sawful and Junior to be promoted. He didn't count on Sawful being so terrible. Big mistake. Big.Bohl's fingerprints are all over this hire. I think Bohl's ultimate goal was sawful be HC for a couple years and then young baldy be the next head coach.

I have always felt that was the case with Shyatt to Edwards and eventually Shyatt jr.I honestly believe that when Bohl was stepping down they came to the agreement to hire pbj and promote junior. In return, Bohl Senior would continue in an unofficial advisory role to smooth the transition ensuring continued success which is how he sold it to Burman.
That never works but I'm guessing that's how it went down.
Both scenarios would be horrible indictments of our AD and show a profound weakness if true.I have always felt that was the case with Shyatt to Edwards and eventually Shyatt jr.
Just earn, baby.HAHAHAHAHA...sorry I'm having trouble breathing from laughing so hard! Money isn't everything??!!! Are you kidding me?? Have you seen the path college football is on the past several years?!?! In today's college sports, money is EVERYTHING and the ONLY THING and anyone who thinks otherwise is already years behind.
Saw that. Wyoming is late to the table if it was true. The other board is reporting Vigen and Oregon State are about to make a long-term deal.
you have far more faith in TB's ability to scheme up things than I do. I think you are vastly underrating his Blunder ability. hehe.I don't either but with how bad this has gone and TB had a few years to evaluate pbj, I just don't see any other alternative that makes sense. Next year’s schedule is undoubtedly the worst/easiest schedule in the team’s history. That said - I don’t underestimate this staff’s ability to lose them all.Our 2026 schedule includes the likes of Central Michigan, UNC (NoCo), and CSU. UConn hit in November. If we are 0-4, they will have to fire Sawful - and we will have another wasted year.
But can you get halfway decent coach to come to Laramie knowing the head coach is going into the season on one of the hottest seats in G5?
No. Unless there is a silent donor out there sitting with a $3 million check. If we had lost the Border War, would Sawful be gone already?
