Northern Iowa

Two things seem to come up over and over as criticisms of this team: shot selection and rotations. Edwards addressed both in his press conference after the game Saturday.

My thing to our guys as always is if you're open and on balance then I feel good about it. Whether they're going in or not, I care more about was it a good or bad shot...I've never addressed guys missing shots, I've addressed whether they're good or bad (shots), that's it.

There's a level of expectation for each player on the team...We have a deep enough bench to where I have to get a feel for what's working well...My thing at the end of the day is I coach off of feel and what I think is working. JJ has been playing his tail off, but tonight wasn't one of those nights for him so I had to make that decision and he didn't play 29 minutes. Again, that's the luxury of having a balanced group at the end of the day.

I was truly surprised by this win and the way they came back to take it over, I will have to come over to a few more as I was gonna wait awhile with this team, GOOD win Pokes!!!

I am very interested to see how this team responds tonight. There is no doubt tonight is a game where we should absolutely dominate. After a big win, over a big team on saturday, how does this young team get itself back up to play a team on a much lower level. I think it will be quite telling on this team going forward.

We should win easily.

It was a great win, kind of unexpected. If I just read the stats and didn't go to the game, I would be super impressed right now.

It seems I might be in the minority, but I've been to two games and have been bored out of my mind at each one. We make some very dumb decisions at times and our offense is all about chunking threes. I barely see any movement at all.

Live by it and die by it. Saturday we lived by it, but I'm worried about the times they aren't falling. We won't have anything else to fall back on.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I can see why you'd think that. Part of the offense is predicated on wings like James and Adams penetrating and collapsing the defense. That wasn't happening much on Saturday so what we saw was a lot of passing around the perimeter.
