North Dakota State is 3-1 vs FBS teams with wins over Minnesota, Central Michigan & Ball State, and a blocked field goal away in 2006 vs Minnesota.

sooooo THE HERD is coming to WYOMING, get ready folks, we gonna have a fun few months on this message board with you guys!!

then hopefully a BETTER time on your football field.

http://www.bisonville.com is the place to come talk a lil smack.

Looking forward to playing you guys!!

peace out.

It'd be cool if the Pokes played the Bison, however, I think we're scheduled for a game vs. New Mexico State that weekend unless that possibility fell through.

And I don't think the Bison would have quite the same luck against the Pokes as you did against the other FBS schools you've played. However, I'm also a Montana fan and we're still bitter about your 4th quarter comeback vs. us at WAGriz. Also.. one of your Bisonville posters lurks this board from time to time.. WYOBISONMAN.

And! Welcome to the board! Stop by any time.

NDSU torched both Central Michigan and Minnesota last year, Wyoming should have picked a much less potent FCS team.

New Mexico State's website says sept 6th I think for wyoming.

anyways, regardless, NDSU @ Wyoming is legit.

Can't wait to come out there!! Lots of excited people in Fargo! and more so in Western North Dakota, just a hop skip and a jump for them!

I don't like this one bit, if your going to play an FCS team play one that you can destroy, like Idaho State or Northern Colorado, not a Top 5 FCS school! Nothing to gain but everything to lose. If Glenn loses that game it could be his ticket out....

I completely agree. To quote my favorite line from the Star Wars series, "I got a bad feeling about this..."

Please get over yourselves.

Arguably Wyomings worst team ever (1-10 in 2000) beat Central Michigan rather easily.

Arguably Wyoming's second worst team ever (2-9 in 2001) beat Furman who played in the 1AA championship game that year.

I'm not worried about this game in the least.

Welcome aboard, Dread!

I agree, we can beat NDSU, however, they're a team we should not take lightly. They're a very well coached team with a lot of talent. However, I think they've lost some key seniors this past year, which could make a difference. Should be a nice, hard hitting, football game.

Anyone have any idea why NMSU was bought out?

I love attitudes like this..... You'd think that after the last five years, people would wise up to the fact that lowly FBS teams are no better than top ranked FCS teams.

I expect a good game and nothing less than a win for North Dakota State University. We didn't take this game for the money (because we don't need it). We took the game because we knew we could win.

HAHAHAHAHA! I always love it when 1AA teams talk like that. Have fun for the next 5-1/2 months. I'll save you time and give you the lines used by Appalachian State, Furman, Montana, Citadel, etc. fans following their games in Laramie.

"we were flat"; "Thought we'd put up a better show"; "you guys are going to win your conference this year"; etc. Heard them all after every Awesome NDSU type gets creamed in Laramie. You guys aren't any different than the Appalachian State team we beat 53-7 a couple years ago.

Appy St. wasn't the same team when we played them as opposed to know. They were a bad team when we played them, not the juggernaut they currently are (which they're made that way by a single person, their QB). But yes, Furman was beaten by what was our worst Wyoming team in history.. then they were beat by Montana in the 1-AA Championship.. WHOO! :) NDSU will be tough.. but they're coming to our house to play.

Since we're doing each other favors please let me give you the lines that were used when we beat up on Ball State, Central Michigan and Minnesota over the last two years.

"We played our worst game of the year"
"Good for you.... you beat the worst team we've ever had"
"We were flat"
"NDSU outplayed us in every aspect of the game" -- that is a direct quote from former UofM coach Mason.

The fact is this. We have played BETTER teams, against BIGGER crowds than you'll ever have in Laramie. Playing on the road against teams with more schollys is what we're used to. We went to Montana and beat them. We went to Minneapolis and beat them and we'll sure as hell not get beat up by a bottom of the barrel Mountain West team like yourself.

You don't have to believe a word I say but I will tell you this. We will come to play and we don't expect to lose.

I guess what shocks me most about your post is the fact that you're so high on your team when you have a team that was horrible last year and your reasons why you'll kill us date back to teams from years ago....

You can be sure that coach Glenn won't be cocking us off like you do.

We didn't have a horrible team last year. We had a team that started out hot, and failed down the stretch. We had a team that beat a top 25 team with what will be this year's #1 NFL draft pick, Virginia. We took down a solid Ohio team on the road, and hung with another top 25, Boise State. We also beat another bowl team, TCU. Not exactly a horrible year, just a horrible 2nd half.

Inconsistent, not terrible. But thats been like that Glenn's entire Wyoming career.

I do think NDSU has the stuff to beat UW, but I wouldn't gloat that much, The reason NDSU lit up those FBS teams is because both had terrible run defenses. While Wyoming may have no clue what to do with the pass they always are strong at stopping the run. Believe me if they can stop Ian Johnson they can definitly stop Tyler Roehl.

Looking forward to the game next fall. I think some Wyoming fans may be surprised at the team NDSU fields. Should be a good game.

Wyomings very worst teams have always beaten the very best teams from D1AA. I think the reason is because UW is not good enough to overlook teams like NDSU so the Pokes show up to play--unlike the Michigans, Colorados, and Minnesota's of the world. The reason the Pokes will win is the same reason NDSU does well against D1 teams.....the players on the field are not the most talented in the nation but they make up for it with heart and smarts and they have something to prove to the world no matter who they are playing.
