I'm getting really tired of this paying players debate going on...I posted this on FB, but I thought I would post- it here to see what you guys thought.
"How about this for an idea...why don't we just pay college athletes minimum wage for the time they spend playing sports since apparently paid out-of-state tuition isn't good enough. That way, they can take out student loans and pay their tuition dollars like everyone else. Minimum wage equals about what everyone else makes who has a job bartending, waitressing, etc. while going to school...maybe then all these guys will realize just how valuable getting your out of state tuition paid for to great schools and getting a college education is actually worth. Great football schools like Michigan and Ohio State are also great academic institutions. Out of sate tuition for those schools is outrageously expensive...what's everyone else think?"
