Ask yourself this question:

If you were a "nationally acclaimed" orthopedic surgeon, would you live in Laramie?

What a fucking shame this is. Just a low-down, rotten shame.
i would....

believe it or not some people like laramie and would choose to live there if it were economically feasible

Myself included, I keep hearing more and more bad things about the surgeons there. Not without reason. 1 or 2 are good it seems, but the rest, not so much.

Absolutely I would if I were a nationally acclaimed orthopedic surgeon! Laramie or Lander probably. If you are a nationally acclaimed orthopedic surgeon, then clients come to where you choose to live.

(although, I would probably have a second house somewhere else to escape the Laramie winters once and awhile)

Well, my answer is about the same as Oredigger's. I'm not a fan of big city life. Never have been. And small towns like Pine Bluffs and what not are nice and quiet, but you usually have to go outside of town if you need something like groceries. Laramie is about the right size for me. Plus, I hate humidity. Laramie is nice and dry (for the most part).

couldn't agree with you more, cities done Denver 3 times, Salt Lake 2 times, Phoenix 2 times and Omaha once, always came back to good ol Wyoming, I don't do super hot heat nor humidity and I really miss being away from good fishing if I so desire. City life you can have it, nice to visit but not to live, I'll take Wyoming anyday!!!!! Cheyenne's my right sized town too

Bowling alley is pretty solid. The owner upgrades it every winter. There's a tournament every January that a lot of Cheyenne teams come down to.

Ah yes, my 2 best bowling games ever (224 & 220) and best ever series came in that alley. Needless to say, I enjoyed it.
