MWC is going to need to pick it up or we are going to be a one or two bid league. I have a feeling WYO or CSU is going to get left out of the Dance, and it better not be us!
Way to early to even bring something like this up. Enjoy the ride. If the Pokes play like they have been playing, they will not be left out. But, still a bunch of ball to play.

We haven't even played a conference game yet.
It seems obvious to me who the class of the conference is: WYO, SDSU, and CSU. It also seems obvious that it's not going to be a three-bid league this year. It's also obvious that SDSU is going to make it, therefore....
What has shown you that we will falter or come up short?

All I'm saying is that CSU looks formidable.

Pump the brakes, guys. Even for an eternal optimist like me, it is way to early to start making our tournament plans yet. There is a whole lot of ball to be played, at which time I'm sure we'll end up exactly where we deserve to be.

Take it one game at a time, no "bad" losses (including SMU and CAL), rule our home court, and let the chips fall where they may.

Let the other teams worry about the bubble. I want to win the whole fucking thing!

More than us? I would respectfully disagree. Ive caught a couple of their games and have not been blown away. Thats just me. I think we match up well against them and will have success against them. At the very least I think we split the series this year. They have no one that will be able to line up against Nance or Adams. And if you focus on those two we have 3-4 other players that can step up and score. Top to bottom I think were a better team. Should be fun to watch.

3-point shot: Impact of Aqeel Quinn's injury on Aztecs (Andy Katz - ESPN)

VIDEO: Andy Katz discusses a San Diego State injury, two Mountain West contenders and the impact of two transfers at Miami. Comments from Steve Fisher on Wyoming.

Fisher: Wyoming and CSU are playing at a high level. Will be very difficult to sweep that trip. Loves the way Wyoming is playing and Larry Nance should be the preseason player of the year.

I don't agree that it is obviously not a 3 bid team this year. I could be. The season has barely started. The MW is down this year but it could still be 3 team league(thats still down from 4 or 5 we have sometimes got in).

Just my early prediction SDSU gets in, WYO gets in, and one of CSU or Boise gets in. Right now CSU looks better but BSU has a lot of talent and I think they will pull it together.

When it comes down to it, the committee gives bids to teams, not leagues. Yes, the MWC's performance out of conference will dictate how they view in-conference performance of individual teams, but they're not setting a quota before Selection Sunday for each league - each team's resume is considered individually. I expect at least Wyoming, CSU, and SDSU to have resumes worthy of consideration when March comes around based on what I've seen so far, but there's three months of games to be played still.

SDSU, Wyo, CSU.

NM always has the ability to make it a 4 bid.
If the continue to stink it up though, UNM is going to have a very rough year.

I like this Jon guy. Pokes are gonna have to play at a high level from here on out, though.

New Mexico loses to Grand Canyon College....that's the kind of loss that will doom the MWC to one or two NCAA bids. Grand Canyon had an RPI of 278 coming into this game.
