I've known a few people that I wouldn't mind seeing get a swift kick in the head, by me or somone else.laxwyo said:I want to know if the "Victim" tried to blindside luke or cheap shot him. I imagine the broken jaw is from cookes huge fist that knocked him out. If this "victim" attacked luke, fuck him! I know it might not make a diff in the eyes of the law but it does to me. I don't condone kicking a man when they are down but if they were the attacker, I feel slightly different.

Calling someone name Ed, "Ted" is a mistake. Considering an assault on an unconscious person for 15-20 seconds, then taking a fifteen foot running start and soccer-kicking him in the head hard enough to fracture his mandible is hardly a "mistake".BeaverPoke said:The kid made a mistake. And believe it or not I'm sure he wants the team to win even more than you do.
You starting a brand new thread to bitch about it won't help, especially when there is already one for that.
If you want the team to stay intact why are you putting out the vibe and thoughts that Luke never needs to be in the AA again so he needs to be totally isolated from his teammates and friends? Just because you are angry just like EVERYONE else doesn't mean you gotta single the kid out and make him feel like a piece of shit.
Your threshold for personal responsibility seems pretty low. I'd say Martinez did a pretty good job of singling himself out...

You don't know what the fuck happened! I read one account that luke might have been cold cocked during a scrum, and if its the case, how would that be different? Hitting a man that's engaged with someone else is no different than what Luke did! And with a the adrenaline of a fight, you can't control a your emotions. Basically everyone should just wait until everyhting comes out.

That's dead wrong. We do know what happened according to witnesses. And hitting someone who's fighting is completely different than kicking a defenseless unconscious person in the head. If you don't know the difference, I'm guessing you've been kicked in the head on several occasions, because you make no sense.
laxwyo said:I guess all I'm saying is that I might feel different depending on the true circumstances. I read one place the guy might have hit Luke and not just thrown a punch. If it was while luke wasnt looking or while Luke was fighting someone else, I'd want to cheap shot the guy back. Being sober and not in the midst of a fight, I'd say I wouldn't have kicked the guy either way. Thinking back to some of the things I've done while pissed off and drunk, I can't say that I wouldn't have done it. Adrenaline and booze don't mix.

We won't know for a while and its all assumptions and speculation at this time. Innocent until proven guilty

I agree innocent until proven guilty, but in the eyes of the law doing anything to anyone who is unconscious is never justified. The way the law works, the dude could have pulled a gun on him but once he's unconscious, the threat's been eliminated and any self-defense justification you had is now gone.
