For real yes, Durant or James little over exaggeration.
You have to remember that Davis is only a 19 year old NBA rookie this season. Here are a comparison of rookie numbers between Davis and Durant:
Davis: 14.6 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 2.1 BPG in 28.5 minutes per game
Durant: 20.3 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 0.9 BPG in 34.6 minutes per game
If you take into account the fact that Durant played over 6 minutes per game more than Davis, there is a legitimate argument that Davis is actually outplaying rookie Durant on a per minute basis. For example, here are there player effiecieny ratings per 48 minutes:
Davis: 30.67 PER48
Durant: 21.66 PER48
As a comparison, Lebron James has a PER48 of 37.9 THIS YEAR and I don't think there is any argument that he is having one of the best seasons of all time this year.
You could watch Durant his rookie season in Seattle and just know that he was going to be a superstar. If you watch Davis play, you get the same exact feeling. Like I said before, he is a once in a decade talent and will turn whatever team he is on into an immediate contender in a few years. If BeaverPoke is correct about Larry Nance Jr., then we have an all-time great on our hands at UW right now. I wouldn't complain about that.
