This is a great read. If you don't think we have the real deal in Laramie you need to go to a game...Oh yeah, don't stop reading when it looks like the Wyoming pub is over. There's more later.

Dopeness!!!!!
That is bad ass... Could you imagine our team with a big Anthony Davis unibrow down low swatting shots? The Unibrow and Larry Nance Jr down low...... no one could score on those two...

Offtopic but...I bet Larry Nance Jr. has a better NBA career than Anthony Davis...

And I only brought that up because of where Coach Shy says tell those players if they are sick of coach Cal Laramie is waiting lol

We've got the right guy in Laramie. Laramie's national connections bring an unprecedented level of coverage to Wyoming hoops. When was the last time Kentucky.com covered Wyoming hoops?

Uhhhhh..... maybe they mentioned it when we beat zaga, or possibly in an article where they were making fun of horrible programs? Lol Seriously though.... getting coverage from them is.... amazing. That article seemed to be about 50/50 Wyoming/Kentucky

You cannot be saying that with a straight face at this point. Anthony Davis is a once in a decade talent. Don't be surprised if you see Anthony Davis being discussed in the same sentence as Lebron James and Kevin Durant within the next 5 years. Davis is for real.

For real yes, Durant or James little over exaggeration.

You have to remember that Davis is only a 19 year old NBA rookie this season. Here are a comparison of rookie numbers between Davis and Durant:

Davis: 14.6 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 2.1 BPG in 28.5 minutes per game
Durant: 20.3 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 0.9 BPG in 34.6 minutes per game

If you take into account the fact that Durant played over 6 minutes per game more than Davis, there is a legitimate argument that Davis is actually outplaying rookie Durant on a per minute basis. For example, here are there player effiecieny ratings per 48 minutes:

Davis: 30.67 PER48
Durant: 21.66 PER48

As a comparison, Lebron James has a PER48 of 37.9 THIS YEAR and I don't think there is any argument that he is having one of the best seasons of all time this year.

You could watch Durant his rookie season in Seattle and just know that he was going to be a superstar. If you watch Davis play, you get the same exact feeling. Like I said before, he is a once in a decade talent and will turn whatever team he is on into an immediate contender in a few years. If BeaverPoke is correct about Larry Nance Jr., then we have an all-time great on our hands at UW right now. I wouldn't complain about that.

The reason I say that Nance Jr. will be better is I think that Anthony Davis is a product of Kentucky ESPN hype.
I think in the long run Nance will have grown to be taller, a better scorer, better rebounder, and better D player under coach Shyatt.
Anthony Davis was gettin all those blocks in college but going against SEC players in hoops is not the same as going against NBA players.

There is no way the Anthony Davis will ever be in the same category as LeBron.
