Damn, I wish we had those xtra seats still. They could stay empty like they have for the last 15 years.

Not when we play those big games... Which is my point. But you have your small minded point too. Small program, means smaller stadium, continue to make it small...

And to your point, maybe we should expand to 50k so we can house all them Nebraska and Texas fans when they come to town. I'm not opposed to having a few more seats. What I am opposed to, is the constant bitching about losing a few thousand to put in some actual money generators. We can't even talk about the wildcatters or the AA renovations without you and a few others crying about removing a few seats. Got it?

+1 I could see the point of complaints if we ever came close to selling out any game that isn't a Nebraska or Texas. Wildcatter and the new AA sweets will create much more revenue than seats we use once every 5-10 years.

But here's something that would tickle your fancy; instead of keeping part of the upper deck with the Wildcatter, just remove the rest of that deck and build yourself even More suites! That will knock us down to a cap of about 23,000. Then you can almost always have your sellouts and genorate even More money!!! Then we can brag about selling out practically every single game! Woohoo! I guess.
My bitching never had anything to do with renovations or suites. I'm all for it. But maintain what you already got. Keep our cap where it's at, EVERY phase of renovations has continued to drop our cap. That, I'm not ok with.

I have a hard to comprehending why anyone has a problem with losing 3-5k seats people only sit in 1-2 times a year. It makes no sense to me, If they aren't being used it's not helping us at all. On top of that I'd rather the stadium appear full with 5k less people than empty with 5k empty seats.

It is possible that is cost us much much less to place the club seating where we did resting on the stadium infrastructure instead of having to build a completely new structure to support everything and keep the 3,000 seats. Also aesthetically it looks good were the club seats are. There is still plenty of room in the end zones to expand the capacity of the stadium when the need arrives. I'm hoping in the future for a good structure with thousands of seats at the south end zone of the stadium. If I had the $$$ I'd donate to see it happen.

Bingo. Hell put more suites on the West side and enclose one endzone with a set of lower stands for visitors, the band, and a new knothole section. Both Endzone sections at Oregon State are a good model

More money from more suites and maintain capacity or even increase it

Monday morning at 9 am and there is still 1988 tickets left.

125 hours til kick off.

Need to sell an average of about 16 tickets per hour to sell out.

I could never find the answer...but does that "remaining" balance of tickets left have the "walk-up ticket buyers" number taken out of it? If so, this game will not sell out. If it isn't included, it will sell out, as we average about 2000 walk up ticket sales for September games.

McPeachy, no, there is no accounting for walk-ups. The reported number is the number of tickets left for purchase, period.

If you click through the "buy tickets" link, you'll see what is left for purchase.

Basically there are only tickets left in the extreme corner sections. Everything else is grayed out.
