Jackson State @ Wyo

Speaking of Baby Giraffe...anyone remember that one kid we had a couple years ago by the name of Larry Nance JR?
He got rid of his wobbly legs and his awkward play, and is not a total beast.
Haldorson, might progress like Nance in a couple seasons.

Larry Nance averaged 11/7 as a true sophomore playing 32 mpg and frankly was even better than that when healthy. Haldorson is a true sophomore this year.

I think someone like Ryan Dermody is probably a better comparison although I think Haldorson has more upside.

Nance was better than folks remember as a freshman. Obviously inconsistent as many true freshman, but was our 6th man and tied for 2nd on the team in rebounding while playing 18 minutes a game on a decent team. This year's Larry Nance is Trey Washington. Different position of course, but in terms of a young guy that will be on the court leading this team 2 years from now, I think he fits the bill.

Not impressed at all with Wyoming tonight. Hope this isn't a sign of Wyoming being inconsistent all year long. We play like this in conference and we won't win many games.

Up by 10 now, but this stream...

The stream keeps freezing up on me after so long. Have to refresh the page when it happens.

Next up, South Dakota.
Shyatt will make sure they whoop their ass.
Bad bad game tonight, but still got the W.
That's why they have early season games like this. Get the early kinks out, work on problems, figure out what you did wrong, and still get a W.
I expect them to take it to SD.

Hopefully we just played down to our competition and weren't interested. Don't want to see a performance that bad again.
Especially against Ohio State, SMU, and in conference play.

They definitely didn't look interested. All those turnovers and missed free throws.
Just a lazy night. I know mondays suck and all, but I didn't expect the team to play like they had a case of the mondays.

Grabau with NO assists? I thought he was the one supposed to be the "feeder" to the open man. Or did they switch it up so that he was the target shooter?

Riley was the leading scorer with 16. Riley has been playing great. He didn't have any assists tonight but he is shooting free throws great and getting fouled and knocking down his 3 point shot and he is also getting into the lane and taking it to the basket.

Grabau and Adams primarily took turns feeding......Jackson State. 10 turnovers between our experienced starting guards at home against a SWAC team. Not a good effort.

Since I am in a bad mood, Bentz shouldn't see the floor if the game is still being decided. Two awful turnovers in limited minutes. I don't know his exact responsibilities but getting fancy with the dribble to try to create late in the shot clock probably isn't one of them. I shouldn't criticize the walk-on, but if Shyatt is going to play him...

I thought Sobey and Hankerson did some good work tonight though.
