Fuck the Poinsettia. It's still possible we play in the bowl for the MWC champion: the Vegas Bowl.

In fact, it's still possible we play in the access bowl.

I don't think we'll make the access bowl this season, but let's set our sites as high as possible.
 
I am all in for a conference championship. I know it's going to be a challenge but if we can win out then we will likely host the championship game and you have to like our odds if that happens.

That would be a blast. I like Stymie's idea to play in the Poinsettia against BYU as well, I would just rather we win the conference championship game this year, and end up in Vegas. San Diego is cool too.

If we do end up playing BYU, it gives me an opportunity to execute plan "wedge fresh dogshit underneath the drivers side door handle of any vehicle with a BYU sticker in the window." :D

Yeah, maybe BYU is a better idea. :thumb:

This! I want the chance to go from Nevada State Champions to Colorado State Champions. Screw BYU, let them rot into obscurity.
 
How nervous should we be to only be a 5 point favorite this week? I was thinking we would be a 10 point favorite at least.

-5? Lots of respect for USU. Their close losses to AFA and Boise must be buoying them up. I would think after getting absolutely wrecked at home by SDSU would have knocked them down a few pegs.
 
Maybe the odds makers are looking at it thinking, USU blew Wyoming out the last few years and will keep it competitive in this game. They must not have watched the USU press conference from Monday. Those guys look beaten already.

Our guys remember USU running up the score and are looking for revenge.

I'm not a gambling man, but if I we're, give me that line all damn day.
 
USU will beat us if we come in thinking we will roll them.

As for bowl games... I would take MAC in Boise than BYU in San Diego. They are already saying how they deserve more than whomever they will play from the MWC. They don't want to play SDSU because "been there done that" and they don't want a BSU rematch. Reality is, they haven't accepted the fact they are a misfit toy that no one wants.

We have 100% control on playing in the Vegas Bowl. Let's just win and make it happen.

I'm happy Pokes are favored by 5 instead of something like 17. Not sure how much the players look at that but lets them know game is not expected to be a blowout by any means. And USU isn't a terrible team, not last week but most of the season they've been good against the run and had an effective offense at times. Pokes just need to come out and play well, execute, tackle etc. and they should win this.
 
The last time UW beat Utah State was in 2007. Nine seasons ago. And some of the losses have been the ugliest I have seen, including last year, when they ran up the score on us and rubbed our noses in shit.
