Moving to the Big 12 in wrestling makes sense for both Wyoming and the Big 12. The Big 12 has been trying to expand in wrestling since Missouri left. The MWC does not support wrestling. Wyoming's current wrestling conference became very weak once Northern Iowa left last year.
