Big win for Burman. Bohl is a homerun hire. If you can have success in Fargo you can certainly bring that mentality to Laramie. I love how tough Bohl's teams play, and I can't wait to see him bring "Cowboy Tough" back to our program!
How is this different than the Joe Glenn homerun hire?

Brewpoke, look at it this way: His team might have beat us this year. They beat K-state. I think he's already recruiting at a higher level than Glenn ever did. I would have preferred Tedford. But Bohl might end up as a better pick. Plus, he's 56 years old. I'm guessing this is his last stop. Anyway, I'm hoping he's Paul Roach and not Glenn part deux.

Woe is me. Naw, I'm just kidding - welcome to Wyoming Coach Bohl. You will get all of this family's support in your quest to put the Wyoming football program in contention for titles again.

lol On another note, what a major ego check for NDSU. Their fans are baffled Wyoming was able to lure Bohl. If that doesn't show the power of the FBS tag Wyoming has, nothing will.

If the rumors are correct, you will be paying bohl more than Minnesota pays Jerry Kill.

I really like this hire. I would have liked to see Tedford in brown and gold, but not sure how long that would have lasted if he pulled off the magic he pulled in Cal. With Bohl, I think we have given ourselves a more realistic chance to build a football program that will compete annually and win a conference championship more often than we have in the past 20 years.

Remember, Joe Glenn was the epitome of a "good ole boy" that put his relationship with failing assistants ahead of the university he was working for. Joe was a good guy, but to say that CCB is another Joe Glenn is unfounded. Is there the chance that CCB will bolt to Nebraska if successful at UW if offered, probably good odds that he would...but, that would mean that he turned UW into a kick ass program...

RT @Jimrosehuskers: Bohl's deal at Wyo is easily 1.5-2M per. He negotiated private aircraft and asst staff salaries that dwarf predecessor

If this is true, we might have finally come around as a program....

woah!!!

So Burman expects the Pokes to go Bohl-ing. And Bohl wanted to move South to get out of the cold weather in ND. This is going to be interesting if for no other reason than being different.

why aren't you guys talking about the big12 rumors?
Because, as I'm reading through your threads on Bisonville, those rumors begin and end there.

which are?
Some over there think Bohl would only come here if we were going to the Big 12.

I read that too and laughed. NDSU probably has the same chance we do of getting a Big12 invite (0%).

Impressive if we stepped up and provided the foundation necessary for success in terms of assistant salaries and recruiting budgets. Disappointing we didn't do it sooner.
