if and when ncaa football splits into three or four division wouldn't you rather have my proposal where the second level annoints two schools to partake in the national level one tournament?

sounds like someone associated with the big 12 said that when its all said and done not only will the WAC not have football and be only olympic sports if that, but it sounds like the big east might do the same thing?

if that does happen i'm wondering if the mwc gets back sdsu and boise if the big boys would consider the mwc as the sixth big six conference if the big east and wac die off as fb conferences?

Yeah, I can kinda see the direction that this is headed. It's bad because the schools (teams)/conferences that have been down for a few years are now going to be held down due to this wedge that is being driven between the two halves. NCAA football may be going into the dark ages.

especially with everything that is going one now my playoff format makes even more sense. I will guess that fsu, clemson, louisville, and boise go to the big 12....rutgers and uconn will move to the acc...the big east bball schools will form their own bball league and the big east fb will try to grab some conf usa teams which means conf usas grab even more fcs schools and so forth?... what will be left is probably four power conferences with anywhere from 12 to 16 schools per conference...one good conference in the acc and one confernce that is full of holes being the big east (if it even survives as a fb conf)..

then you have everyone else...mwc, conf usa, mac, sun belt playing for two spots

sec gets 2 auto bids
big 12 gets 2
pac 12 gets 2
big 10 gets 2
acc gets 1
big east 1
mwc/conf usa champ gets 1
mac/sun belt champ gets 1
4 at large bids

or (requires byu and notre dame to join a super conference?)
