I'm not sure 12 teams

Was a good idea. Terrible first round.
I think asu and bsu are at risk of a pretty good beat down.

Hopefully coming years aren't this bad.

Wait until you see the scores of the semi final games the last few years...
Haha, point taken. It just seemed worse this year because of the number of games. Kind of a like a single fender bender vs 10 care pileup.

That and there's still a chance for another round of blowouts.

This will be the last time the committee puts in teams that “earned” their way in. SMU and Indiana screwed that up and totally validated the SEC complainers out there. From here on out, the ACC and Big 12 will be one bid leagues along with the G6 (no longer group of 5, it’s 6 with the stupid pac). And if Boise gets killed, it’ll solidify the G6 ALWAYS being the 12th seed. As much as I don’t want to root for the donkeys, I will. Just for the simple hopes of the G6 proving that there’s not much difference between us and the ACC and Big 12.

Tennessee got DESTROYED. I don’t see how the SEC can push that narrative

bsu is a pac team. Anything they do helps the pac and not the mwc. If anything, bsu success will be "with the exception of bsu, g6 doesn't deserve a shot".

I hope they get rocked.

In all honesty, top 6 or 8 will capture your best 2 teams almost every year. The playoff will need to be careful. If the first two rounds are littered with blowouts every year, people won't tune in until the semi-finals. As a cfb fan with no dog in the fight, the playoffs have been incredibly boring so far.

Disagree, campus sites are the best thing about college football and high seeds should be rewarded with home games. I think they should play campus sites all the way through (until maybe the championship).
I agree but it will never happen given the major bowl games - Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta , etc. all have TV contracts that the networks will make sure have championship implications.

I think this will just lead to split faster. SEC and Big will want more and more spots and point to blowouts as the reason, then split with maybe a handful of other teams coming in or out and then create a new playoff with the split off teams and get all slots of playoff

Too lazy to look it up…how does BSU’s success in the playoffs benefit UW and the leftovers? Do we get a piece of that money if the Donks win and continue on or does that go to the nPac? If we don’t benefit from that then screw em. If it helps us monetarily then I guess I’ll cheer for them.

I think a MWC team winning, even if they're on their way out is a good thing for the MWC. It's a recruiting tool for all the people watching the BSU/Penn State game, especially if BSU wins. Penn State has been choking a lot in big games since Franklin arrived. They were fortunate to get SMU in the first round. BSU is and has been "for real" for a long time. It's neutral site. I think BSU win this one. If BSU wins I'd prefer they get ND, as they can choke as well. I'd put my money on Georgia in the next game. I LOVE seeing the G5 teams beating the P5 teams in these bowl games this year.

I think Penn State wins this game fairly easily. Penn State has a fantastic run defense. Boise State will have no answer if they commit to stopping Jeanty.

Jeanty is an undeniable talent, but not even he can beat a good defense that is intent on stopping him. Hell, even the much maligned Wyoming defense almost pulled it off.

MW or wacky-PAC?

I heard the Donks don’t have to share any dime with any conference mates. It has something to do with when they sign an agreement to not leave the Mountain West. Can anyone confirm this?
