Keith Kelley posted this question on Twitter, and Ian reposted on GoWyoGo... so let's try it here. If you could re-do any single play in Cowboys history, football, basketball, etc, what play would it be?
This one will likely be close to the consensus.Brew_Poke said:Punt the fucking ball, Joe! That should've been our Cotton Bowl.

Was that in 1994?
Nursing their three-point lead, the Huskers got the ball back with 9:09 to play. Berringer moved them 28 yards in seven plays before Darin Erstad was called on to punt on fourth-and-7 from the NU 48.
Wyoming's Je'Ney Jackson tried to field the punt at the Cowboys' 11, but it glanced off his hands, and Benning pounced on it at the 8. Phillips then busted through Wyoming's line to give NU the cushion it needed to preserve its 20th straight home victory.
"We had our backs to the wall a little bit," Osborne said. "If it wasn't for the fumbled punt at the end, it might have been anyone's ball game."

I remember this like it was yesterday. He then proceeded to jump on the scorer's table and taunt the student section.Dalron, Dalron.. Didn't he hit another bank-shot buzzer-beater three against us that year, too?NowherePoke said:3. UNLV in the AA in the 00-01 season - Dalron Johnson hits a half court buzzer beat to beat us. That cost us the outright MWC regular season title (ended up in a 3-way tie with BYU and Utah) and probably an NCAA at-large bid.

I am one of the few (it appears) to beleive the safety was the right call. And if we didn't shank the free kick it would have worked.

Without the safety they needed a TD, with it they only needed a FG. Had he just kicked it I say we would have kept them out of the endzone for the win. Had he not shanked it, they might have had to get a longer field goal but I think they still get it. JMHO of course.
