Spurrier isn't an NFL coach.. much like Saban and Petrino weren't either. Some guys are meant for college, some are meant for Pro. Spurrier was doomed to fail in Washington.. plus with an owner like Dan Snyder his rope was even shorter. But Spurrier made a lot of money as an NFL coach, and now he has South Carolina as a respectable program.

I agree he is not an NFL coach but I also believe there are many better college football coaches out there. He has turned the South Carolina program around but in six seasons there his best record is 9-5 and that was this season... not all that impressive in my book.

And yes six seasons is plenty of time to turn a program around and I still would not let him coach my sons pee wee team...

Easy question which I've already answered. Urban Meyer... and John Calipari.. You pay these guys twice what anyone else is offering them. They will pay for themselves, Wyoming will become a National Power.
Simple solution.

Forget what Spurrier did at South Carolina. He turned around Duke and Florida. But every coach is only is good as his assistants. Look at what Sonny Lubick did at csewe. But it helps when Urban Meyer is one of your assistants. But when Lubick started losing his top assistants, their program fell apart.

The hot coach right now is/was Jim Harbaugh. He took a really down Stanford team and made them really good. Maybe Brady Hoke is somewhere in that league. Michigan sure hopes so.

True so true, I completely agree on Harbaugh and Hoke may be the two next great coaches!!!
