Getting excited in the off-season on the hopes of being good, and stealing a few more wins than we should, diamonds in the rough excelling, etc.
But, after graduating almost 30 years ago.... I'm like others, tired of the sunshine pumping.
I went back and started reading message boards from when Mike Shula coached Bama before Saban took over. Shula got dealt a bad hand and couldn't figure out how to make it better.
Saban's sound bytes on what inherited reminds me of what we deal with year in and year out, it seems like. Except we make no changes or lower our standards.
