How much longer do we have to suffer through svboda. He is horrendous

I was planning on 2-3 games in the War this season..not now. Feel for the kids but I’m not wasting $200 to go to Laramie and watch this botched abortion of a football team.

Svoboda is just about our best player. This WR group is terrible. But nothing else matters until we get a real head coach. This was a giant failure and we have Craig bohl to blame.

What?
Craig Bohl is hardly to blame. He coached this same group to a 9-4 record last year.

Last time I checked, Tom Burman and not Craig Bohl was responsible for hiring Bohl’s successor.

I'm pretty sure the football coach doesn't dictate the hiring and firing. Had Burman wanted to, he could have fired Bohl and paid the remaining year on his contract. But since hiring within worked so well with Allen Edwards, Burman thought he would do it again. And see how much money he saved by not doing some exhaustive search for a new coach! The guy is a genius!

I love bohl but isn't he the reason we have sawvel and his son as DC?
Why would a departing coach be the reason for anything? Burman is the AD and is in charge of coach hiring and firings. That’s literally his job description. If Burman is so incompetent and incapable that he needed Bohl to tell him what to do, then he doesn’t qualify for management at McDonalds let alone AD.

Not only do they not believe it, they think it's a dumb theory.
No. You’ve been missing the point the entire time. Bohl can tell Burman whatever he wants and cheerlead for a promotion for his son the entire time. That’s not the point.

Burman is in charge of hiring and firing. What Bohl tells him to do is nonsense. Burman is in charge of the athletic department and he is responsible for ensuring program stability and success with a competent staff. What the departing coach says is meaningless.

Honestly - do you think Bohl pushed to have his son as DC? I certainly do. And he clearly is a fish out of water, and in WAY too much over his head. May as well of put me in the position.

I'm still not sure exactly how much blame lies at the feet of Bohl Jr.

I get that our defense has taken a huge step backwards and that he is ultimately the leader of the defensive side of the ball. But our players are also not making plays. Terrible tackling form, awful pursuit angles, slow with post-snap reads.

We are often in position to make plays, we just hardly ever make them.

I might be speaking only for myself but I don't think PBJ (Sawvell) gets the job if not for junior. Obviously Burman is also accountable.
