Maybe instead of defending against the deep pass against a rush only team we will put an LB in the box and bring a DB and the other LB’s in tighter to stop the run against a primarily passing team. Of course the 3 Hawaii receivers will find humongous openings against our 4 deep zone and throttle us for major chunks of yardage.

Sawful will throw the players under the bus postgame because they failed to apply that the coaches meant to play a tighter defense against the rush while defending the pass and it took until the Cowboys were 3-4 scores behind to adjust to the sneaky Hawaii offense.

Sawful is masterful at making an opponents inept areas disappear. Burman recognized that talent which most of us didn’t realize was important to making members of the MWC look good.
 
Brown and Gold glasses are off. If this coaching staff can't get a team up and buzzing for Josh Allen day or The Border War, I have no reason to believe that they will be able to do it for Hawaii.

Give me Rainbows 31-10 with us getting closer to turning the corner.

It's college sports - so nothing is for certain. And Hawaii isn't great off the island. But any win we get from here on out will be due to the other team's poor play - not some great scheme by Jay Sawvel.
