Maybe instead of defending against the deep pass against a rush only team we will put an LB in the box and bring a DB and the other LB’s in tighter to stop the run against a primarily passing team. Of course the 3 Hawaii receivers will find humongous openings against our 4 deep zone and throttle us for major chunks of yardage.

Sawful will throw the players under the bus postgame because they failed to apply that the coaches meant to play a tighter defense against the rush while defending the pass and it took until the Cowboys were 3-4 scores behind to adjust to the sneaky Hawaii offense.

Sawful is masterful at making an opponents inept areas disappear. Burman recognized that talent which most of us didn’t realize was important to making members of the MWC look good.
 
Wyoming almost always wins a game that everyone thinks is a sure loss. Maybe this is it.

But I’ll be damned if I fall into the “they finally turned the corner” rhetoric that is sure to follow any win.
