Oh give me a break. DC was a terrible HC. I mean, come on, the guy lost his job in Utah after one season. Anyone trying to still defend him is simply engaging in an exercise in futility. DC kept getting worse and worse and more and more miserable as a human being.

This loss sucks, but it's Bohl's second season as an HC vs. DC's five. Jury's still hearing arguments, and he still gets the benefit of the doubt.

Now, whether or not Burman has the sack to call the guy on the carpet tomorrow and ask him, "What the actual f--k did we just see out there yesterday?" Well, I don't see that happening...
 
It's good to see you guys can predict the basketball season that hasn't happened yet. You don't know what kind of stinkers that young bball team can lay.

Wyovanian, finally some common sense back on the board.

Although this loss is bad, really bad, it's not the season. Last year was not the rebuild, this is.

Plus, Shyatt produces 1st round picks, and MWC titles.

I can understand the skepticism towards the basketball team by some after we all suffered through the schroyer debacle, but, like beaver, I also believe there is no way that a shyatt team will pull what happened with the football team today. That's not to say there won't be growing pains with this young team however.

Ok. DC's tenure at the end was pretty bad.However, He took over a Joe Glenn team with no offensive talent and brought in real D1 skill players right away. He beat csewe 4 straight years and we had a 7 and an 8 win season in his 1st and 3d seasons.
Nothing about Craig Bohl tells me he is any different than Joe Glen. The receiving core is awful and the qb play is average, at best. The offensive line has been mostly awful. I agree he gets the benefit of the doubt. But I see nothing in his recruiting that gives me hope.
 
Have we reached rock bottom? No. Give it two more months. 0-12, then yes, we've hit rock bottom.
 
Yeah, and the defense became guys who went on the field to sub in when the offense went 3 and out to keep the offense's places warm. And the line play only got worse over DC's tenure. On both sides.
 
My observations (maybe right, maybe wrong):

1) Worst Poke team in 40 years
2) 2-10 would be considered miracle season
3) Pull Coffman, put in freshman. Maybe only go 1-11 but look to future.
4) Give Bohl 2 more years to prove he can do it
5) Remember: McCartney at Colorado lost 10 in a yr. before he won national championship
6) Support Pokes no matter what - show up at games and cheer - they are trying.
7) Look forward to basketball BUT BE REALISTIC ABOUT SEASON OUTCOME!

No this is rock bottom. Sorry to say. That program has never beaten a fbs team in 10 years lost to a NAIA school 3 years ago & have only beaten 2 ranked fcs teams in 10 years. Let that last one sink in

EMU lost today 34-38 to Old Dominion. Lose next week, then it's rock bottom. Pokes would be staring at an 0-12 season.

And...to make things even more depressing...should EMU beat us next week, it'll be their first non-conference road game win since 1988!!!!

Nothing quite like having a fermented turd rubbed in your eyes. I would have been upset if this game was closer than two touchdowns. Losing? Well... urgh. I'm almost at the point where I'm questioning being a fan of this team. Even freaking Colorado Rockies at least show signs of life regardless of how bad they are.


Too bad I have absolutely zero interest in basketball.
