I don't think we will breach the 20,000 mark simply because there are many people throughout the state that are still sour on the program because of DC. Everywhere I go I hear negative comments about him. I do my best to refute the statements but it seems like an uphill climb.
 
I'm saying 24,500. I'd expect the students to show up in force because of the hype from the Nebraska game, while fans from further away are probably less likely to make the trek still.

I'm going to try and make it up, but it requires getting out of a few commitments that somebody else made for me. :-/
 
We'll hit 24,000+. Did last year after the Texas game. What happens from there forward depends on how the team does.
 
Are talking the UNLV/ SDSU "tickets distributed" method of counting attendance? If so sold out with another 10K standing around somewhere. :whistle:

If we're talking the UW "tickets scanned" method- around 25K...
 
I say 23,412 with both myself and my son in attendance.

I say 23,410 if both myself and my son decide not to attend.

Since we plan on attending, I'll go with the former...rather than the latter.

Lol SDSU is the worst. I remember a couple seasons ago Wazzu played SDSU and the folks from the state of Washington wanted to go down into the sun for a weekend and bought an INSANE amount of tickets, and then SDSU fans bragged about having like 60K at their game. I really think it was closer to a 50/50 crowd.
 
20K-22K....but there will literally be that many people....not the inflated attendance numbers we've seen in the past that were exposed in the Laramie paper last fall.

If we could bring in 21k for Weber St a few years back and almost 23k for Texas St then after a game like we had last week I say we bring in 22,350 for our home opener. Despite people not liking DC, people will want to see Brett Smith put up big numbers in Laramie like he did at Idaho last year. Students will be riled after last weeks game. And even though Dc isn't liked, as our HC/OC he helped manage our O to one of its most productive games since being here. Plus we will be boasting a new field. So we may have some that want to come and see that as well.
