How many fans don't like DC? Does this really stop them from going to games? In my opinion the majority of WYO fans are fair weather (or worse). The popularity of the coach has little effect on attendance, and it is debatable that winning has an effect. You can look at our last good years for that (96). Attendance has more to do with good weather, premier opponents, special occasions (opening game & homecoming), and if we are winning.

I would suspect that up to 40% of WYO fans don't know what DC looks like, let alone if he is the head coach.

Overall, DC has had some of the best attendance numbers when compared to past coaching defenses. A lot of that has to do with playing top ranked and high profile teams.

My guess is 23,974. Our early season games especially the first two are usually the ones that attract the most fans, and once we start piling up the wins it will translate to more in the later games.

22,178...big game last week is why we break the low 20,000's, that and the fact that people aren't going to "wait" to see UNC next week.

Per the ESPN box score, attendance was 22,030.

Wyoming football has some buzz around it right now. They really should print up some 'pink tickets' for the upper corners of the stadium that can be purchased on game day for $10 and enforce seating in those areas.

We need to incorporate the SDSU / UNLV method of ticket counting. They count tickets sold / given out / handed out / passes, etc., versus tickets scanned. UW counts tickets scanned, which eliminates quite a few people - the band, the staff(s), all administrators, security, player pass (each player gets 2 or 4 tickets) - visiting player pass, recruits, etc.

That said, I would put our attendance at about 24.5K+, which still sucks ass for a home opener.

it was a late arriving crowd, but once it started with some tweaks it still was fun, it's funny how the students are looking for that W.Y.O. 1st down chant, not gonna happen this year, unless it's self induced...lol
