Greatest Cowboy This Century (2000-Present)

This should be good for discussion. Who is the greatest Cowboy this century (2000-Present)?

The field is pretty good... Jovon Bouknight, Casey Bramlet, Malcolm Floyd, John Wendling, Devin Moore, Derrick Martin, Mitch Unrein, Chris Prosinski, and Brett Smith.

Lets hear it!

My vote comes down to two players: Jovon Bouknight or Adam Goldberg

Bouknight was a game-changer that we haven't seen since the likes of Marcus Harris and Ryan Yarborough. However, don't forget about how dominant Adam Goldberg was. He was 2nd-team all MWC as a sophomore, 1st team all MWC as a junior and senior, and honorable mention all-american as a senior. Those are some pretty impressive recognitions.

Ward Dobbs was bad ass.

But probably give it to Demo?

Brett Smith will be the greatest when it is all said and done, and may be the greatest after his JR season.

My Candidates: Ryan McGuffey, John Fletcher, Josh Biezuns, Casey Bramlet, Tyler Gottschalk, Chris Prosinski, Ward Dobbs, Brian Hendricks, Gabe Knapton, Malcom Floyd, David Leonard, Devin Moore, Wynel Seldon, Brett Smith, Tashaun Gipson, Adam Goldberg, John Wendling, Jovon Bouknight, Aaron Elling

Tough call...I'm going to go with Biezuns. Played FB, LB and DE. Crucial on the stand vs. Fresno State. Made numerous big plays.

In 2 years, Brett Smith.

Right now? Bouknight has it. A couple players come close (D-Mo, Goldberg, Fletcher, etc.), but none were as clutch as him.

Though if Smith has phenominal year this year and a better one next year, Smith will take over.

Bouknight easily thus far is the best Cowboy of the century......Brett Smith could surpass him however.

D - MO against UVA

D-Mo is certainly my #2....right now my top 5(okay 6) are:

#1) Jovon Bouknight
#2) Devin Moore
#3) Brett Smith
#4) Chris Proskinski
#5a) Derrick Martin
#5b) Casey Bramlet

I knew a few on this list, so that may have some sway in my voting (okay, all of them but one) :-)

My vote would be for Jovon Bouknight. The offense was designed around him every game from 2004 & 2005. He scored a touchdown almost every game his senior year, complete game changer. We would have never won the Vegas Bowl without him.

Hope to see him back at UW in some coaching capacity in the future.
