Get to the arena

You have a valid point, but the fact of the matter is that this is how college sports work now. Every, and I mean EVERY D1 team has the same issue. No team is immune. Teams with higher payrolls have a better retention rate, but even the Dukes of the world lose transfers every single year.
That’s true but I don’t have to like it, and I imagine a lot of other fans feel similarly.

I'll be honest (as someone who lives far away from Laramie, so salt grain)

It's awfully hard for me to get invested in a Wyoming team anymore because I just assume every good player will be gone for more money elsewhere next year. All I can think about every time I get excited about this team's prospects is that I'll be watching Naz Meyer play for USC next year.
I hate that we are both thinking the same way.

Naz is the top freshman in the conference so far according to an article from the Nevada Sports writer.

Which to me means he most likely won’t be here next year. I said that after the first 5 games he would be gone. Some big school will pay him $500k to leave.

It is what it is.

Gores will be on this list by year end.

Ugh. Yeah. Afraid you are right. We better make hay this year

Weird the author completely overlooked him. He has a MWC freshmen of the week award to his name
He has been seeing less minutes recently. He will be a good player, but he isn't quite ready to be a starter yet.

I think he will be a great depth piece this season, but I expect he will end up averaging around 10 mins per game for the conference season. His potential might be enough to get a decent NIL offer after this year, but I think there is at least a chance we see him back in Laramie next year. Not a chance we see Naz back.
