2 more losses doesn't get us into the Big Dance? BS.
19-4 now. 8 conference games left. Up to 3 MWC-Tourney games left.
6-2 in regular season, and 2-1 in MWC Tourney puts us at 9-2 in final 11, making us 27-7 and likely MWC Regular Season champs.
That is going to the Big Dance.
Even with a 6-2 in final 8 with a first round loss puts us at 25-7 which is going to be pretty close, if not a 13 or 14 seed.
6-2 in the final 8 games and a first round MW loss and we won't even be on the bubble. We will be looking for an NIT bid before the selection show even starts.
And 6-2 and 1-1 in the conf tourney, and were right back on the bubble.
Seriously people... If we make the NCAA it will be freaking awesome!!!
If we don't, did we have a failure of a season?
Because I seem to recall everyone bringing up great seasons of the past that they all remember. 02-03(21-11) Shyatts first year in 97 after how many years of postseason dry spell (19-9). McClains first and third year (18-10 and 20-10 and everyone talks about our THREE BEST YEARS IN A ROW... 24-12 NIT, 24-10 NCAA, 26-6 NCAA.
Were all those years a bust? We haven't been to a significant postseason tourney since going to the NIT in 02-03. That's 13 years!!! What have we had since then? Four CBIs.
Let's trust that these guys can make the right decisions on the court, ant that Shyatt and co will make the right calls, and watch and let the chips fall where they may, while enjoying every moment of this experience.
Seriously, reading the last four game threads certainly shows that people are not enjoying the experience until after we get the "W". Complaining about several players all game long and complaining about the coaching all game long, or complaining about our offensive style all game long, when in the end it has continued to work, is not enjoying anything! It just makes you look like a complaining pessimist.
