I guess I am eating crow on this one. My apologies to all my fellow poke fans for being negative coming into this game. I guess the SEC isn't what it used to be or the MWC is just getting better.

Just got back. I havent been this proud to be a Cowboy fan since the Vegas Bowl!
My thoughts:
The play calling was actually very good, we were playing a great and fast defense in TN. While many people thought it was conservative play calling we controlled the ball well and played the field position game (which was great coaching considering the TN offense).
Chris Stutzreim impresses me greatly. Stutz is a RFr, yet he has the confidence to call an audible. That play at the end of the game where Stutz audibled then scrambled and found Johnson over the middle shows that he has what it takes to be a great QB!
Obviously our defense played extremely well, but we were also helped by a terrible TN QB (he has no accuracy). I think TN would love to have Stutz over that guy.
That PI call was complete BS. Even if that (it wasnt) was PI, the ball was well underthrown and uncatchable.
I wouldnt have said this a few weels ago, but maybe we should keep Joe Glenn. He has found a way to keep this team motivated and to play hard and that says a lot about him. If we win the next two, I hope we keep him.
OVERALL, what a great day to be a pokes fan!!!!

I noticed that he finally put a head set on today. Good for him. Wish he would have done it 4 years earlier. Frick Glenn, play to win....always play to win.

I liked the play calling because we played the field position which is important when playing a team with a bad offense and a fast defense like TN. A pick 6 in this game would have killed us! If we were playing BYU or another team that can score quickly, then yes the play calling would have been bad...but we went into Knoxville and knocked off TN, give the coaches credit it took a great gameplan to pull that off!

As you stated "they played to win, look at the outcome"....well, that is exactly what I meant by the coaches are coaching NOT to lose....they are not coaching to WIN. They would not throw the ball hardly in the 2nd half. The play action pass was there all game. But, Cole immediately got away from it. Why? Hell, I dont know, other than to think he does not know what he is doing. Like I said, they need to start playing to Win.
