Game Thread: Wyo @ Utah State

This is a classic example of what happens when you take the shot clock all the way down and take terrible shot selections. This offense is like watching paint dry! Terrible outing compounded by the boring slow ass pace. Wyoming went well over six minutes in the second half before they scored!
 
I am not sure whats up with this team. They have to be the most bipolar team in my 29 years on this earth. They play like gangbusters some games then come out and flat out suck. There is not excuse for a team coming out flat, lifeless, and unenthused as often as we have. Our three road losses were not against teams better than us but teams who wanted it more than us. Hell, Cal and USU were teams that just showed up, and beat us. Yet again, Shyatt can't get this team to perform.
 
Im not giving up on this team but this was AWFUL. I was not disappointed in the SDSU loss but this one I AM VERY disappointed in. I cant believe how much dribbling around we did at the end. we needed to put up shots...
 
This game looked like our non-conference Wyo team that didn't show up for the couple of away games. It was a pleasant surprise to pull out the wins on the road to start the conference, but they didn't show up at all today
 
What's more concerning for me Is that this is 4 games in a row that we have looked not very good. Sure we eeked out 2 wins in those 4 but they weren't pretty and in both games there were points where I figured we would lose.

They never even got on the airplane. If Shyatt wants to take this University to the next level, he will have to learn how to motivate his teams for ALL games, not just for New Mexico or Colorado games. This may have been the worse game of his Wyoming tenure. The Cowboys QUIT with ten minutes left. Fucking USU scored what, 5 points the last ten minutes of the game and they pulled away!?!?!? ARE YOU SHITTING ME!?!?! Unacceptable.
 
Is our bench really so bad that they can't play?!? Love Shyatt to pieces, but he simply completely relies on the starters to play way way too many minutes. Dunno if thats the reason for our lethargic play or not, but sure wish we would play our bench more, need fresh legs on the floor. 40 minutes a night for Nance, Adams, and Grabau is gonna be disaster late in the season.
 
We got lucky against New Mexico then we lose this game. We will have at least 3 or 4 more losses this year. Think this team will end up in the NIT which is disappointing with all of the seniors they had on this team. Will be Shyatt's 4th year and no NCAA tournaments yet. Don't see it happening next year either.
 
Are you kidding me? Why do Hankerson and Adams decide to play their worst game of their careers. Adams was terrible tonight...unforced turnovers, bad shots, etc. Hankerson, our best 3 point shooter is throwing up wide open clankers. The worst part is listening to Dave Bulwinkle suck Utah State's dick all night. Embarrassing from a team that has brought their A game 95% of the time so far this season.

Hopefully they will watch the film before burning it and it lights a fire under their asses.

On a positive note, Gorski can shoot.

Well my bubble has burst. We have a decent team, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high or take seriously a team that loses to an also-ran like Utah State. It's basically Larry and four guys who can't shoot on offense. You see 44 points out of high school girls teams, not D1 men's teams.

It was obvious Grabau and Aka Gorski were the only ones who were could hit tonight. Adams, Mac, and Hank were useless. Absolutely useless. Adams and Hank were actually detrimental to our efforts. In a game where two of our starters suck, what the hell would it hurt to play guys like Aka Gorski, Lieberman, and Barnes? Could they really do worse?
 
A bunch of pussy's not sure what to think of this effort. I will say we didn't play nearly physically tough. Get back on track, and win at home next game- the only real answer to a piss poor effort. Coaches and players need to look in the mirror.
