Game Day : New Mexico St. @ Wyoming ....

If these quick fouls keep up we're going to have to win the game from the charity stripe so I hope everyone is up to par.
 
Also it's clear that Shyatt's trust outside of the starting 5 isn't nearly whst most thought yet and I don't blame him.

We appear to be slowing it down after the half so far, Back into assisting more often when shooting.
 
Team is back and forth with pace, Surprised Shyatt hasn't called a time out and really slowed them down.
 
Well I am glad we won. New Mexico St. will easily win the WAC. Didn't get much from the bench today but they didn't play much. Defense was terrible today but we played at their pace and had a lot of foul trouble. Hope this was just one of those games we didn't play our best.
 
With the way they NMSU and the performance of the refs, this will be one of our better wins this year. They were physical almost to point of dirty and we weathered and hit the shots we needed to. I wish we would have played more our speed and not theirs but we're good enough to beat then at their game. I'll take it. GO POKES
 
Ultimately, this was a big win! Wyoming looked a little out of sorts, but we still won by somewhat playing NMSU's style of game. I agree that this game will only make us better. Remember...this was one of the OOC games that everyone was worried about? We stepped up when it counted, and as far as the press, I thought we handled it fairly well.
 
Nmsu played like a team with their back to the wall. You know they really wanted this one after their start amid high expectations. Well done cowboys. Take the win against a tough team that plays a style that is not your best,

Delusional I guess. I cannot imagine if I lived anywhere near Laramie not being at the game. I guess I thought a good deal on tickets would bring out more people to see a team that is off to a pretty good start.

Yup, I kept expecting them to come up with a way to beat the press. Something they are going to have to work on, cuz anyone who watches that film is going to think about that.
 
We only had 10 turnovers the whole game which isn't bad actually against a team that presses that much. We just shot the ball too quick sometimes. Need to slow it down to our pace in the future.

And 4 of those were charges... So truly we turned it over six times against a very quick, aggressive defense. That bodes well for us going forward
