Fresno @ WYO

Why do folks have such thin skin? Shyatt. The fans. The players.

I guess my view is, if you cannot handle the criticism, stay away from twitter and Facebook.

One other thing, This "us against the world" crap has got to stop...and the best I can tell, Shyatt has been a huge purveyor of it. We drive on horrible roads to get to Laramie on a Wednesday night because we care. We spend our cash on scholarships and tickets because we care. We scream our lungs out because we care. We even post on twitter and fan sites because we care. There aren't enough Wyoming fans to be picking and choosing who is and is not a fan...

I suggest they get away from social media, circle the wagons and focus on the hardwood and not on the late night, frustrated posts from their fans. And the fans need to remember these are emotional kids that just lost a tough game...don't engage them.

Really, it wouldn't have been a huge deal if they weren't so confrontational about it. Trying to degrade that fan and threatening him just made the guys look immature. It's Twitter...go ahead, call them out...but don't be ridiculous.

Good post, well put. Anyone commenting on Wyo sports at all on social mediums is more a fan than 95% of the fan base. Chasing people off? Come on...

Meh, whatever. I was a pokes fan before they were potty trained. Legacies are earned. You wouldn't see Marcus Bailey on twitter the night before an ncaa game throwing games at ladies and talkin crap on fans. Then have his teammates retweeting pics of the latest local fling. Gronk can pull it off and that's about it.

Shyatt, you are losing these guys. Players keep dropping the "we stick up for family shtick" but they forget we were part of the family before they were. Cowboy up guys and go play basketball.

+infinity. I was thinking the same thing. You thing Greg Sawyer would act like this? Bailey? Ratliff? Nope they'd go out and take their frustration out on Cesar Guerrero and love it. Not wimper and whine and mope and bitch.

+1 Most of us were here long before these guys were either born or ever around the University at least.

So, anyway. Nance looked gassed tonight. You could tell he was fighting, but between his health issues and now this, he needs a little more time. Here's to hoping the pokes can work out their issues and dial it in for the tourney.

From my perspective, there is sdsu...and everyone else. Time to buck up and make a run.

Hank, Grabau, if you read this (errr....WHEN hank reads this) stop playing timid. When the shot is there, shoot.

At the expense of sounding like a complete asshole; these guys are here now and out there on the floor for us now. Not the 2001-2002 team, not the Sweet 16 team, not the Kenny Sailors team, but the team we have there now. And when a teammate of theirs is getting piled up on (I know several on here have demanded Hank be benched to begin with), especially after a tough home loss, what do you expect to happen? "Oh sure, go ahead and focus on a single player and make it seem like it's his fault that we lost"? And then to get "annoyed" with his teammates when they come to defend him?

One win in the last three games will be a surprise to me. Another surprise - in this game - was the restricted use of the bench. I can't figure that out. But the inability of the Pokes to stop the drives (like FS was doing against the Pokes) and poor defense against 3's (as usual) will kill them the rest of the way.
Yeah. I can't figure this one out either. Jr. didn't bring it offensively tonight and Gorski and McMan can guard the three point shot just as poorly as Jr. It's like a bench player makes one mistake and he get his ass pulled for the rest of the game, then they play to not screw up and not to just play well.

Feel bad for Hankerson, dunno if I've ever seen a player completely lose all confidence like he has.
I feel bad for the team. Hankerson fell by the wayside many games ago. Does Shyatt have some sort of loyalty gene that makes him give Hank so many minutes. I'll bet the other players know he can't handle the load in a pressure game like this. They are probably pissed to.
Yea I don't get it. Mac brings more to the table IMO.
+1

Welp didn't see the game but this sucks. Nice thing is now we don't have to argue about an at large bid. Shitty thing is I don't really need to watch the games until the MWC tourney. It's now officially win the tourney time or bust. I might go crawl underneath a rock until then and remerge pumped up ready to go. I'll find that spirit again after some soul searching.
This post made me sad

I see your point, and no, you don't sound like an A hole. We all have opinions.

Trey W threatening the fan? That is straight up childish Jr high crap.

I think many of us are simply saying that, although this isn't the early 2000 team, that here and now in 2015, things are different. Kids nowadays are entitled. Kids are whiners. This goes from young to NBA. The NBA is almost impossible for me to watch. Why? Because of whining entitled generation.

I have to kindly disagree. I don't feel he is being piled on. A fan said he needed to be benched. He then showed him stats that show that Hank is in a freakin rut of epic proportions. No other fan said a thing. Sure some of us have voiced opinion, but not one person has said anything inappropriate towards Hank Jr. I don't define that as piling on. HOWEVER, Nance, Herndon, Adams and Washington all attacked the fan. What if he would have said, "Jason Mac needs a lot more playing time." Insinuating the same thing as "Hank being benched," but it is all in wording.

I support Hank and the guys. But the over-sensitivity by EVERYONE has to stop. STOP STOP STOP. For the love. Stop getting so bent outta shape.

Keep watching CC. I won't miss a minute on Saturday. Don't bail off the bandwagon when things are crappy. Sounds like a byu kind of a move.

that one will sting for a bit, last night was truly a test of our will, and yes I'm frustrated amongst others, but it's to be expected and maybe my expectations were too high to begin with. oh well life as a Wyoming sports fan
