That d coordinator held Wyoming to 15 points unless you want to include the garbage TD....and that is the same 15 points that our top of the landscape offense put up.....I am being realistic....we have not beaten a legit team this year....remember Ghalli Muhammad and how CDC took him off of English's defense to try him at rb......it was that type of "put the best talent on the offensive side" that led us to where we are today.....English did a good job with the amount of talent CDC let him have on the D......today was a demonstration of what the "nay Sayers" have been cautioning all along!

One player moved. And it was Muhammad who requested to change positions. Marty straight up sucked. All of us faulted DC in the beginning because we kept him on and not only that, we promoted him to d coord.
His d looked pretty good today and a heck of a lot better than ours! They were prepared and ready to play!

You'll count his success by this game only? CSUs D has been worse than our overall all year. Shoot we played piss poor and still managed over 400 yards. Think about his D last year? And because of today, we should never have got rid of him? COME ON!!! I understand being upset, but use your heads or just go drink the pain away. But please let's negate the stupidity.

Remember that while you're pumping your sunshine.... My caution about the D has been there from the minute the game ended in Lincoln.......but you and others have made fun of folks that ARE being realistic while you are giddy about the offensive output......CSU learned from Tx St as will the rest of our remaining opponents.......shut down Smith and pound the ball on offense...but wait that's not the landscape of college football......as for English, no he should have been gone and long before he was.......but why Tormey.....what has he ever done? BTW.... I'm not buying that Muhammad asked to be moved especially given the success that he had at lb his soph year.

You show me one post where I said our D was fine? You won't find one. I have said we are a bend but don't break D. We give up the yards but not that many points. Obviously not the case today. But if you want to talk Nebraska game my concern was giving Nebraska the dink and dunk passes at 17-22 passing. I straight up said to be prepared for more games like that cause would open up the run. Texas St was 14-19, CSU today: 18-23. They passed just enough to keep our D back off the run. But even if we had all 11 in the box, csu would be pushing the pile forward for a 5 yard gain.
I'm just not giving up on this team, unlike most of you have said you will be doing today.

And you can take it or leave it on Muhammad, but there were several interviews with him and he said he went to the coaches and asked to move to offense.

You said so in your response.....bend but don't break......obviously you can dish but not take and right now you seem to be having difficulty being realistic so why don't you take a break an have a drink or 12 and come back when you can be rational.

Bend but don't break? Try: break, break, break, broken, break, break, broken, break, blow-out loss.

Fire Tormey? Fuck that. Fire DC. This is horribad.

Hahaha look at all the people suckin Marty English D, like he is some great D coordinator. Wow...Do you guys not remember how bad our D was with him either?
I am not sticking up for Tormey, but holy hell, you guys are acting like English has the best defenses ever now.

Not to mention he is the LB coach and CO-cefensive coordinator. It isn't even HIS defense...

I don't think we can afford it

We can use the 1 million in bonus money that we're likely to get to buy him out. How much do we have left on his contract?

His current contract runs through 2016. He is only owed the base (which is a pretty small percentage, the base is only 180k per year technically). If he was fired at the end of 2013, he would be owed $540k.

My opinion:

1. Fire (or provide an opportunity for re-assignment) Tom Burman as soon as possible.

2. Commence a national search for a replacement AD.

3. Let that person make the decision at the end of 2014.

The fact of the matter is that we are a bad football team, just like we have been every year since 99 (minor exception for 2004 and 2006). In the big picture, it doesn't matter if DC's last game is Nov 2013 or Nov 2014, what matters is that we get the right person and that we provide that person with the resources to succeed. I think we need a new AD in place and we need to give that individual a year to fully review the situation and work with fundraising so that when we make the move, me make the right one.

I can't argue with that. Good post.

I feel so honored that you would remove your nose from CDC and taking time away from kicking little old men and Blue Hairs that upset you to make comment on the fact that nobody wants him back.....just pointing out how his D kicked the living day lights out of us.......hahahha we fire him and he beats us 52-22!

THIS YEAR we scored 15 points while the game was still in question...another 7 when they had in their second team.

Bottom line, the d sucked when English was a coordinator and it sucks just as bad now w/Tormey. How long do we have to wait?

Probably until we have a new AD in place........another thread has pointed out how there are 1.25 million reasons that nothing will change!

Why did the whole team look like they had given up after the first play? Are their internal issues? Has CDC lost the locker room? Do the kids not want to play for him? This is the third game I have noticed and difference in attitude of the players
