Fire Tom Burman and Fire Jay Sawvel

Since we aren't firing Sawful, do I read the 7220 article on the new OC to mean that no one else is set to be fired? To think that a new OC is the cure-all is naive and borders on lunacy. The OL was trash, when it was supposed to be a strength. The lack of development in the QB room has mind blowing (perhaps the new OC will serve in dual roles, like JJ...goody). I don't know how I feel about the WR and TE - Anderson could never find them when they were open or they were hurt (or waiting for the portal to open). The RBs are similarly hard to assess, as the OL never opened any holes for them to run through or they were hurt - but I can't say they were anything more than mid. To me, it starts and ends with the OL. To keep Tripodi and not revamp that entire outfit is malpractice...but that is sort of what I have come to expect from Sawful.

I do find it humorous that you think I give a rat's ass or am in some kind of competition over names for a failing coach 🤣
What you personally rank as a good or bad nickname doesn't matter to me in the least. I'm here for some good discussion and you have obliged from time to time. I value clarity and straigt-forward discourse. Vieled references, misleading innuendo, and obfuscating language is probably somewhat to be expected but some posters seem to traffic in it more than others. Of all of the people on here, I seem to have more back and forth with you than almost anybody....and a non-zero amount of that time spent on my side of the screen is some version of just trying to get you to clarify what you are talking about when you reference things like "the ire of many". As the statement stood, it could be misconstrued that the ire was from a group of people who would defend Sawful or Aaron Bohl as good coaches....but that has never been the case....All the conversation surrounding the term PBJ is completely because it's just a confusing nickname. I was trying to make that clear as well as put some context into why that particulare moniker bumps people.

It's obvious you get some glee out of these exchanges so I expect no reduction in ambiguous and confusing references. This post itself may even send you into some sort of ecstasy...I'm happy to oblige. It will be a sad day when/if we are all gone and this board is dead.

I’ve been waiting 2 years for that single person at a football game to shout ‘fire PBJ’ and to hear the reaction of confused surrounding fans defending peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I planned to use it as an opportunity to meet ragtime in person.
I want this to happen sooooo bad LOL!

Monte Cristos are good... but that's like a once a year type of diet splurge. There's a bar in this town called Anaconda, not far from here, that has an amazing Monte Cristo.. but whew boy, don't feel that hot afterward.

Sad things I've noticed on Facebook (yes im old) the Wyoming athletics department will put info on there, specifically about the signing class and they lock out comments probably for fear they won't like what they see/hear...boooo hoooo AD get over yourselves already (little fish in big pond anymore)

My new favorite sandwich is: chicken, melted pepper jack, pineapple, jalapeño and a habanero sauce (usually mango) or even green chili.

I don’t know what it is called. Most people think it is weird so I guess I can’t be too judgmental on people’s sandwich choices.

I'd skip the pineapple, but I'm in!

Pardon me for asking a dumb question but what's in a Monte Cristos? I never heard of it before.

Depending on the regional variation, the sandwich can either be savory or a mixture of savory and sweet. In its most basic form, it is dipped in beaten egg and pan-fried, though it may also be deep-fried in beer or pancake batter.[4][5] Regional variations[2][6] may include sliced turkey or caramelized onions. Some variants are served grilled; in other variations, the Monte Cristo is served as an open sandwich, with only the bread egg-dipped and pan fried. In such cases, the fully assembled sandwich is then usually heated slightly under a grill or broiler.[2] In sweeter variations, the Monte Cristo is often covered in powdered sugar and served with maple syrup or preserves.

We will get an eventual quote "Jay didn't meet the expectations we have for the program. Him and I sat down and went over those expectations for next year blah blah blah..." He typically takes the same speech and changes a few words and repackages it. What we won't get from Burman is any blame on him and the athletic department for the absurd contract, hiring process, oversight failure, etc...
From 7220 Sports recap, sounds like this was the very message Burman gave. ‘He is confident in Sawvel but massive improvement expected next year.’

Also - wow does Cody at 7220 Sports continuously defend Sawvel. Seemingly Sawvel could do no wrong in his eyes. It’s strange.

I listened to the most recent Roaring Repeater podcast. Tucker makes some valid points. First, who are you going to get to replace Sawvel? The sheep are paying Mora 2.4 million his first year and giving him over 5 million for assistant coaches. Is that in our budget? Tucker's claims that Sawvel fixed the defense and now he needs time to fix the offense. Well, the defense wasn't broken when he got here. And the special teams have been awful. Tucker seems to think Sawvel can turn it around. Personally, I don't.
And maybe he defends the guy because he wants access to players and coaches. I understand that. If there is a defense to be made for Sawvel, Tucker does a pretty good job of it. One interesting and hopeful assertion Tucker made was that if things go south next year, that Sawvel might get canned during the season. So if we start as poorly as I think we will, then there is hope that the house cleaning will begin. But as others have stated (rightly I believe), should Burman be the guy to make the next hire? His track record isn't great. But at this point, I don't believe the team can get any worse.
