I’m not joking. Fire Burman and can this whole staff. This is an irredeemable atrocity

I mean, the head coach is too retarded and stubborn to replace the worst QB in D-1 football. I’ve not seen a worse QB. What have we got to lose by at least trying a different QB

Nothing.

Not saying it won't happen, but I'd personally be surprised if any changes are made until after the 2025 season at the earliest.

Totally agree. Losing to BYU so bad was embarrassing enough, but losing to North Texas by an even worse score... The next two weeks are our best chance for a win. If we don't pull one out, we're looking down the barrel of an 0-12 season. Stop the bleeding now!

Garden inn has a room on October 12 for 410.00 a night. F them. The hotel prices will plummet.
Unfortunately rooms will become available as the year progresses. No one will be attending games.

I feel bad for the kids with this dumpster fire.

We’re going to get killed in the portal. Waylee won’t see a snap this year and will transfer.

Waylee is redshirting will play in 2025. Likely not at Wyoming.

That whole deal he and Sawvel made is bizarre. It sounds like Waylee is planning to play in four games, and four games only, this year so that he can maintain his redshirt and have another season of eligibility.

I totally understand why Waylee would want to do that. I don't understand why Sawvel is letting him do that other than just wanting to "be a good guy". I mean, your team is averaging like 85 rushing yards a game, and you are going to agree to let your best RB just pick and choose when he plays and then transfer out to help some other team next year?

It's decisions like that which will ultimately cost Sawvel his job...or at least they should.

The choice is probably either zero or 4 games. If he plays more than 4 he loses his redshirt and his college career is done. If we say no you must play all games you are cleared to play, he says no thank you and transfers for next season regardless. I’d probably take the 4 games.

But Bohl established a pretty rigid program where inmates didn’t run the asylum. So I do miss the Bohl approach of if you aren’t going to play when cleared then you aren’t on the team and best of luck in your future endeavors.

To me, that is a dangerous precedent to set, especially as a first time head coach trying to build your career.

What's to stop the next "star" player at Wyoming from dictating when they want to play or what types of plays they are willing to go in on? What if a RB doesn't want to pass block and only wants to go in on run plays? I wouldn't want the reputation as a coach that kowtows to your best players demands.

We are going 0-12 (maybe 1-11 with a lot of luck) whether Waylee plays 4 games or not. If I'm Sawvel, I'm telling him that once he is medically cleared, I expect him to be ready to play anytime that I want him in the game. If he refuses, he can get the hell out.

I love Waylee as a player. He is a very good RB. But if he wants to try to dictate when he is going to play, then I'd rather he move on to another team.

Releases coming out that he went into coaches office on Monday and said he would need an extra $300K to stay at 4-0 and #23 ranked UNLV otherwise he would ‘redshirt’ and seek a payday elsewhere.

Coach apparently told him no.

Guy will be lucky to end up at Kent State. What a loser and good riddance to a teammate like that.

But honestly - this situation isn’t much different than Ike.
