Fire Bohl

Vigen had a great game minus last three possessions and even then we aren't barking so loud if our kicker makes a FG making it a 3 score game

Yup. As ridiculous as 24 runs vs 1 pass seems, 2 of the 3 drives in question got us near or inside Nevada's 20.

You're right we should always run up the middle three times then punt. It's the only way to win....

Nope. I think we should've passed more as well but like lax said, we make what should be a routine field goal and it's not that big of a deal. (we got plenty of first downs after running 24/25 times by the way, it all wasn't 3 and outs, that'd be 9/9 run attempts, not 25.)

Posted this earlier on the conference board in reply to a Nevada fan...
"As much as I am happy with this win, I am also realistic concerning how we won. The play calling in the first half would have kept us in all of our games so far, the second half play calling is what we have been dealing with the majority of the season so far. On defense, I am pleased with the development of the young guys, especially Wingard. That kid is going to be a beast in the near future. Our secondary needs a lot of work. If you guys had a QB that was anywhere near his game, you would have thrown for 400yds and probably have won the game. That said, I'm am hopeful that our guys realize the breaks they got this game and continue to work their collective asses off for the rest of the season."

Seems about accurate. I think our biggest issue right now is play calling, more than inexperience or general lack of talent. Loved to see us dial up that blitz to essentially seal the game too

Jesus, Wyoming kept them honest with the pass until Gentry went out...and then the team was left with only the run...and people bitch. It would be nice to be able to trust the freshmen WR in this situation, but I for one am glad that the team was built on a strength and was able to hold on.

The injuries continue to mount, but still the fight seems to be there.
