My list would be....

1a. Randy Welniak
1b. ACS
3. Josh Wallwork
4. Casey Bramlet
5. Corey Bramlet

Apart from the UCLA game, I'm not sure why anybody would like Corey Bramlet. Then again, I was at the miserable home game vs TCU where Corey was directly responsible for 7 (SEVEN!!!) turnovers. He was the only reason we lost that game. Literally.

1. ACS
2. Wallwork
3. Casey Bramlet

Honorable Mentions:
-Randy Welniak, he is just a bit before I really followed Cowboy football, so never really had a chance to see him play.
-Chris Stutzreim, because how can you not root for that guy!
-Matt Swanson, because the (we want swanson) was a classic chant, during the Jay Stoner era

Amazing how ACS has moved up the lists so quickly.

What does the Van Pelt show have to say about Dax Crum?

Craig Burnett.....The last QB to win in Provo (1987) Offensive MVP of the Holiday Bowl
Randy Welniak........The first night game at War Memorial and the drubbing of BYU that night
ACS....Because I believe he really is that good.

I like wind rivers list. Also tells me we don't have a lot of 50+ year old guys on board taking us back to the greats from the late 60s and 70s. 10 years from now nobody will ever know who crum and stutz are. Only great backup that will be remembered is the scooter, scotty runyan.

That's right! I could never remember Runyan. He was in there with Burnett wasn't he? That was when I first became a football fan and I remember the name but don't remember anything else about him. The first real QB I remember was Welniak.

Ditto. I was at UW for that fiasco. He was atrocious. He got booed every home game. Every time he passed the student section gasped. His bro was descent though.

Corey Bramlett was my least favorite. He litteraly ruined a other wise really good wyo team. Remember Ratterink my favorite backup.

JJ was awesome - the kind of backup every QB should have. Very intelligent, supportive, and ready to step in at any given time. I know he played Arena Football in Quad Cities for a while - does anybody know what he does these days?

1. Welniak - 2 straight undefeated conference seasons.
2. Burnett - Maybe the best pure passer we've had in the last 30 years
3. Walwork - the 98 yard drive in the last 2 minutes against CSU in 96
4. ACS - He's given us hope after a pretty miserable run recently

Sorry Bladerunner but
1987 Undefeated in conference Burnett Qb
1988 Undefeated in conference Welniak Qb
1989 Unfortunately both gone and record showed it

whoops! I forgot we lost to Iowa in the holiday bowl with Burnett and then to Oklahoma state when they had Barry Sanders. Don't know why I thought Welniak played 2 years. Oh well, that's what age does.

For all of you youngsters, I will give a few of the greats from my past.

Chuck Lamson - Beat Roman Gabriel and North Carolina State the year he won the Hiesman and later became the Qb of the LA Rams.

Paul Toscano - Led Wyoming to an undefeated season a place in the Sugar Bowl in 1968.

Steve Cockerham (?) - Led UW to an upset of Arizona State when ASU was rated in the top 5 with several highly rated players that went on to the pros but Steve led them to a 45-42 (?) in laramie in front of a full house. Possibly the greatest upset ever at UW.

I know there have been others but my failing memory has shut down for the afternoon.

Poke fan since 1951!
