Junky - Is this the official list? There's a lotta money in there. We might have to raid Ft. Fudd for some of their copious stadium donations

Also, what happens to the mini-dome currently used for volleyball and wrestling?

Are there any football stadiums dedicated to college football that have stadium seats like the pros have? Those bleacher type seats are too uncomfortable for geezers.

The official list is renovated AA, swimming pool, Indoor Golf Practive facility.

I was thinking the rest to keep up with the Joneses if they really build a new stadium.

My two biggest wishes I think could be really cool and have a meaningful impact at the UW Athletics Dept.
1). If I hit the lottery, or have enough time to lead the fundraising ever, I'd like to get a couple million together to establish an endowment to provide the funds to run NCAA men's and women's ski teams, a sport that would be easy to recruit top talent and compete and win national championships.

2). Hiring private railcars for party trains from Downtown Denver to Laramie for Homecoming weekend every year.

Only coal trains ever go through Laramie anymore though.

Back in the day, the Tribune-Eagle newspapers would run a train over to Laramie for one game a year. They called it the "Treagle Special". A lot of the city's fat cats would ride over and get snockered good. I've always thought that would be a good way to bring fans over on a regular basis. You could do it for Casper and points north as well.

1). If I hit the lottery,
The one thing to never wish for. There's no faster way people's lives get ruined than winning millions in a lottery.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

It's because of a thing I listened to on the radio this morning... somebody was reading off statistics about lottery winners from 2003
80% of married million+ dollar lottery winners got divorced within 2 years of win
60% of million+ dollar winners become alcoholics or drug addicts
70% of million+ dollar winners filed for bankruptcy within 2 years
85% of winners wish they hadn't won

those are some pretty awful numbers...

I think the bankruptcy part is because people don't realize that you have to pay like 60% taxes on lottery wins, so they spend all the money, and then IRS comes looking for their share...

so I have a 20% chance of staying married for over 2 years? 50% of people get divorced anyway.
I doubt that 60% just magically become alcoholics. Based on a lot of guys I work wit, if they quit their job because they were rich, I'm sure they would be alcoholics. Only thing keeping them doing so is work and that's even pushing it.

I've seen these stats before.. and it's not surprising. Honestly, if I won the lottery the first thing I would do is find a CPA and make sure everything was cool.. then I'd be an asshole and put half into my retirement.. then the rest is for my hookers and blow. :twocents:

People don't invest, they don't realize all the new fees and property taxes and everything else.

I'm pretty sure I know where those stats come from and they are the ones that are the reason Wyoming doesn't have a lottery allowed in this state.

Oklahoma has one. Theory was that it would help fund education for public schools. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! Things are far worse now because of it. Funny thing is they did the same thing in the late 80s with horse racing. Never worked out like how they planned it.

Number one rule if you hit the lottery: Don't fucking tell anyone! Well, spouse maybe excepted. What you're supposed to do is, immediately lawyer up, establish a blind trust, and have the trust cash the ticket. Don't tell relatives.

Something tells me that I'd fare better than the statistics cited above.

Good bye student loan payments!!
