Every time this team loses

Man...It is a punch in the gut every time the pokes lose this year. Every loss has been with lead in the fourth quarter. Not good for my ticker.

Bohl and Vigen playing not to lose as always. Then they take the opportunity to "impose their will" on the most important plays in the game which, not surprisingly, get stuffed every time.

Your ticker and my liver.

Bohl keeps handing Vigen the gun and the bullets. Vigen can't stop shooting himself in the dick. At some point, someone needs to take the gun and the bullets away from Vigen. If Bohl won't do it, someone has to. If Bohl won't let them, someone has to take away his key to the arms locker. If Bohl doesn't like it, $2.5M buys a pretty damn good G5 coach.

At this point, anytime a team or person is up then loses, it should be called a Vigen.

High school volleyball team goes up a match then swept, they Vigened it. Playing a par game and double bogey on the last hole, it’s a Vigen.

I feel terrible for the players. Conservative play calling, or stupid play calling cost them this game. The run up the middle at the end of regulation on 4th down made me want to kick the tv screen. Why not do a roll out or even an option play? Running an injured back up the middle when it hasn't worked the entire second 1/2 is the very definition of insanity.

I did see the sun came up today, lol.....won't be any easier next week in Logan not an easy place to play at, but lets see what(if any) adjustments take place and try to beat the Aggies, all games are bigger and bigger to get to that elusive 7th win and a bowl

Last night's game was a kick in the nuts.

I've never really bought into the Vigen hate, but that 4&1 call was criminal.

I hope the team can find the heart to finish the season strong.

This quote from Boise coach in the 7220 article says it all: https://www.7220sports.com/3-quick-takes-questionable-play-calling-aides-in-ot-defeat/

Harsin says for the critical plays at end of regulation and overtime:
"There were only a few options,” Harsin said of Wyoming’s offense in overtime. “We made the right call and the guys stepped up.”

Haven't we heard our playbook is super complicated of supposedly over 200 plays that takes a qb at least 2 seasons to learn? It doesn't matter if we have 50 different possible blocking screens for a run up the middle play. On the defensive side the coach knows it is going up the middle, stack the box with 10 guys and you stop them. "Only a few options" because defense doesn't care if the blocking scheme changes each time, we are so predictable they know where the ball is going and we are easy to scheme against on defense

This article was spot on. Even the players are questioning the play calling

So, I was actually fine with us doing the flea flicker. What I wasn't fine with is that we sent one receiver into triple coverage when that wasn't one of our huge guys. Imagine that play if it's a tall ball thrown to Marcotte instead?

Our defense also gets soft in the clutch. To be undefeated, we needed 3 stops with a late 4th quarter lead and could not get it either time, especially when our offense came through to get the lead. How can our defense shut the door on games? Can they get better or will our fans just ignore it and be ok with a solid game with no finish.

Yeah... That is true but it's less true in the BSU case. The other two losses were truly backbreaking lengthy drives. BSU had a short field and it happened early in the fourth. Game was lost when wyo failed to get a first down from a 3rd and one on our last drive in regulation....I was pretty confident that we'd at least get Rothe a shot... Turns out ... Not so much.

This makes no sense. In all three games the offense didn't get it done multiple times in the 4th qtr, either. The D is holding teams to few points and the offense should score more damn points. You sound like coach Bohl protecting his BFF forever Vigen

If you are describing anything the defense did last night as "soft" then we were watching different football games

Defense held BSU to 17 points, on the Smurf Turf no less. Even got a couple of turnovers.

Offense is the issue.

Correct. How good would this D be it they actually got a chance to catch their breath once in a while?

I'm sure vigen believes his play calling is fine. He's probably going to chew the o lines ass on Monday for not being able to block 10 of the Boise players on that 4th down.

I don't understand those who say "the defense didn't get a stop when it mattered," because they stopped most drives, including the very last one in regulation to keep it tied, AND they held Boise to just a field goal in OT. If your opponent scores on the 10th try to tie the game up when you didn't score yourself on any of your attempts, it's never the defense "who didn't get a stop when it mattered," it was just the inevitable end result of not creating enough scoring drives and giving your opponent too many opportunities to score themselves.

Nobody would blame a goalie who gave up a goal in a 1-0 game after you've allowed 50 shots. You'd talk about why you allowed 50 shots instead.

No, you’d ask why you didn’t score 1 or 2 goals when your goalie was standing on his head.
