I think his brain melted.

Everyone played well at times. Lots of dumb mistakes, but we grinded. Lots of ticky-tack calls both ways, I thought. Well done, Pokes!

4 turnovers in the second half was the key to this game. It was fun to watch our defense tonight. This team gets better and better each time out.

It was nice win for the Pokes on the road but Denver isn't a very good team, lets be honest. They were a pre-season pick to finish 8th out of 9 teams in the summit league.

I'm not saying they're a great team, but I could give two shits where a team was picked to finish. They had won 5 straight games. I'll take this win. We'll know more after Air Force plays them

I'm very impressed with the athleticism of this team. Surprised Barnes isn't playing more. He's got a huge upside, big and athletic. It will be interesting to see how the minutes get distributed once the conference starts. Hope we get a big turnout for Cal. Saturday.

Lets get real, the reason he isn't playing much? Its because he isn't very good right now. I find it unbelievable that he didn't redshirt last year. He needs a lot more development with the coaching staff.

I think Barnes was not a good match up with denver ' s style of offense and team. When we get to San Diego state Barnes is going to have to be in there against their big guys. He isn't great but his d is ok. We will need him more against bigger teams.

Looks like Marshall didn't make the trip.... I don't see him in the bench....

Watching the Shyatt postgame interview, Marshall walks by behind him, right after Herndon and Washington, also watching the highlights he's on the bench. Sure would like to see what he can do sometime.

This. Barnes is still a very raw prospect. Him not redshirtting last year was not smart IMO.

back to eat crow, man this was a huge road win at a place they never seemed to be able to get one! Good balanced scoring and a great game by us overall. On to Cal, hopefully everyone can make the trek as a somewhat full AA would be a nice help to these hard working kids!! So happy over that one last night!!! Keep it up Pokes

Loved Shyatt's comment alluding to the fact that the Pokes are not so much rebuilding this year as they are "reloading". Hope it holds true and we start seeing conference championship runs every few years with lots of tourney appearances, which is what "reloading" teams do. The rebuild took place when Shyatt took over the dumpster fire that Schroyer left, took a few years, but now that we've won the conference tournament and made the big dance, love the mentality of "reload", and take aim for the prize again quickly rather than a "rebuild" mentality.

Planning to travel 7 hrs to be there +1! Pretty dang excited, I don't get to make it to many games, I try to get to at least 1 game a year if it works out. At this point I'm not really expecting us to win, but sure would huge if we do!! The aztecs beat Cal by 14 on a neutral floor when Cal was ranked 14th in the country. Gonna be a very tough game, but will be a nice measuring stick and great experience for our young team!

Granted James was in a bit of foul trouble (two of those calls were horse crap) I think he should be getting 30 min a game. The sooner he gets those minutes the sooner his undeniable potential will be realized.

While I agree with you, I don't think he'll play that many minutes this year barring injury.

For those complaining about the game not being online....I think it had to with the fact this wasn't part of roots MWC coverage/package. This was part of their DU coverage so it wasn't required to broadcast it through the MW site.

Great win for the Pokes. Love watching this team come together and love the style of play we have.

Ah. That makes sense.

HUGE win for the Pokes. This team is going to be really fun to watch here in a few more weeks. They are starting to put it all together

Gorski was on fire the first half. It always makes me nervous when he puts the ball on the floor and drives, but good things happen more often than not when he does that.

JMac has turned into a really solid player. After his freshmen season I never would have guessed he'd be this good. He's obviously put in the work. He is a fantastic shooter.

Aka Gorski is becoming a nice scoring option. When his stroke is on, there is a better shooter on our team. He is learning to put the ball on the floor and get higher percentage shots. This year may not be his year, but this kid is going to be a big part of our success before he leaves.

What can you say about JMac? He's a kid who never had the skill or the athleticism as the guys around him but he has worked his ass off and turned himself into a great WYOMING player. He can shoot from distance, he can drive and finish, and frankly, he may be our best defender. The dude is an animal on D.

Love seeing this team grow and transform in front of our eyes. We knew the identity and style could not be the same as last year. The identity is starting to show and its a good one.

I don't think he was in foul trouble considering the number of players in rotation. I tend to agree more with designed minimal minutes but definitely deserving of more. I do think that will increase as the season progresses. He was smooth with everything he did and didn't panic and looked in complete control. The future is bright with him.

Gorski's shot looks nice but he was very lazy with some passes as well as telegraphed a few. He doesn't look completely comfortable and right now is almost only a catch and shoot guy. But he does do that better than anyone on the team.

Not sure why Trey didn't get more minutes than Lieberman or the start for that matter. Both need to attack and create more.

Adams was his usual self. Solid overall. 11 for 11 from line was huge and a few were when they brought the score close again.

Overall, as most have stated, the defense was solid from everyone. We took them late into the shot clock and they were forced to take shots they didn't want to. When they did get good looks they were usually contested. Not too many wide open looks. I don't think DU is as good as in years past. Less athletic and less height. Good win on the road none the less. Gonna be an entertaining year.
