I have been shared some details, can't confirm....Trying to ASAP: I am also told that the total value is average at $49M per year for 5 years. The CW has an option to pick up for 6th year. (trying to figure out how that increases the $$)

1) CBS Sports is paying $18M per year for T1 games (select games first) for 6 years ((2026-2032) [CBS Television Network will carry the men's basketball championship game.]
2) FOX Sports is paying $16M per year for T2 games (select games Second) for 6 years (2026-2032) [Fox will carry the Mountain West championship football game.]
3) CW sports is paying $14M per year for T3 games (select games third) for 5 years (2026-2030)
4) KISWE & JMI Sports is partners for T4 is paying $1M per year (show the leftovers) (2026-2032) [DTC consumer may actually bring more $ for each school]

Payouts to schools: (This was the surprise to me)
Guaranteed Payout to Legacy Schools 5 legacy schools × 3.5 M each = $17.5M

Remaining TV Rights Revenue $49M total avg after subtracting− $17.5M guaranteed to legacy = $31.5M

This $31.5 M will not be distributed among all 11 schools, evenly for a few years. (NDSU/UTEP/GCU/UC Davis has a delayed multi year process until they receive 100% ) [trying to confirm amounts]

Bottom line is that at some point the $31.5M will be divided by 12 at some point for $2.625M per school. Legacy schools add $3.5M (guaranteed) + $2.625M = $6.125M each and the others (Non legacy) get $2.625M until then I am not sure what the split is.

Also trying to figure out if Hawaii is consider Legacy or not. I have heard from two different people and have gotten two different answers.

Correction there are 6 legacy schools, plus NIU get 75% share in year 1 and 85% share in year 2-6>

The 6 Legacy Schools are:
Air Force (United States Air Force Academy)
Nevada (University of Nevada, Reno)
New Mexico (University of New Mexico)
San José State (San José State University)
UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas)
Wyoming (University of Wyoming)

Payouts to schools: (This was the surprise to me)
Guaranteed Payout to Legacy Schools 6 legacy schools × 3.5 M each = $21M

$49M minus $21M= $28M and that $28M will not be divided among 11 schools evenly? $2.54M (Could be more) plus $3.5M=$6.04M per Legacy school before any DTC Kiswe streaming dollars are added.

Hawaii - Not sure but 100% of the $2.54M ( maybe they are getting a bonus like NIU)
NIU - 75% of $2.54m =$1.905M year 2-6 is 85% or 2.159M [The deal w/MWC includes a $1.5M signing bonus and covers up to $2.5M of their MAC exit fee.]
UTEP - ?
GCU - ?
UC Davis - ?
NDSU - T4 -KISWE only [The school will receive a $200,000 bonus if zero of its football games are exclusive to streaming, and a $100,000 bonus if only one game is streamed.]

Pac12 Media deal I am told is:

PAC12 - New TV Deal
CBS - 13 football games, 20 MBB games
--CBS will carry the FB, MBB championship games on CBS
CW- 13 football games, 35 MBB games, 15 WBB games
-- CW to air WBB Championship game
USA 22 football games, 50 MBB games and up to 10 WBB

--Pac12 enterprise to produce games on CW & USA.

I am told that the Pac12 average annual deal value = $68M I am slo told that it pay 56M in 2026 and up to 80M in 2031.

Partner........2026/27.............2030/31
CBS.............$20M.................$30M
USA/CW.......$36M.................$50M
Total............$56M.................$80M

I am told that production cost for CW & USA will be around $8M per year ( or 880K per school)

2026
Full shares: 6.25M after production cost (5.37M)
Partial Share: Texas St - 3M after production cost (2.12M)

2031
9 full shares: 8.888M after production cost (8.008M)

Total PAC12 deal value over the full term (2026/27 through 2030/31) is $340M or avg of $68M per year.
--production cost for CW & USA will be around $8M per year ( or 880K per school)

Year............annual payment.............full share after production................Partial share after production
2026..........$56M...............................$5.37M.............................................$2.12M (Texas St)
2027..........$62M...............................$6.008M...........................................$2.12M (Texas St)
2028..........$68M...............................$6.675M...........................................0
2029..........$74M...............................$7.342M...........................................0
2030..........$80M...............................$8.008M...........................................0

Updated MWC annual Payments (before any KISWE DTC dollars given to schools)
-- NIU get 75% of 3.5M year 1 & 85% of 3.5M the rest of the time
--UTEP/HAWAII full shares in 2029
-- UC Davis & GCU Partial Share

Year............Legacy School................NIU.......................UTEP/Hawaii....................UC Davis/GCU
2026..........$6.21M.........................$2.625M...................$2.45M.............................$2.1M
2027..........$5.92M.........................$2.975M...................$2.80M.............................$2.45M
2028..........$5.80M.........................$2.975M...................$3.15M.............................$2.45M
2029..........$5.68M.........................$2.975M...................$3.5M...............................$2.45M
2030..........$5.68M.........................$2.975M...................$3.5M...............................$2.45M
2031..........$5.68M.........................$2.975M...................$3.5M...............................$2.45M

If CW Doesn't pick up the 6th year:
2031..........$3.5M...........................$2.9M.......................$3.5M...............................$2.1M

So, does that mean if they have to pay the MWC exist fee of 20M per school their average per year over the contract term would be 4M? If that the case they are below what the legacy schools will be receiving.

In the grand scheme of things, who "wins" the next five years is not going to matter.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the more these "lower level" schools keep fighting amongst themselves, the worse off everyone will be for it in the end. They would be much better off banding together and using their power in numbers.
