Plus, won't Krill be back? He might not me much of a receiving TE but using him as an extra blocker would be niceBeaverPoke said:LasCrucesPoke said:I left him out just because you never know with injuries, but I totally agree. Yep. Either Sewell or Brown have to step up.
Man, I really want a pro style offense now.
Smith would be DEADLY on roll outs, whether he runs it or launches it down field. And we all know he has quick enough feet to survive in the pocket (if there is one).
And between Wick and May (IF he progresses like Wick did) running the ball, they would be able to eat up a lot of clock (here comes the time of possession bs... lol).
And plus, having 1 less WR and having a big TE would be AWESOME.
Extra blocking would be nice. Plus, with our predictable offense now, it's not like we are using all 5 WRs to their full potential.

The main problem then is the same as it is now, our o-line is not good. No matter what type of offense you run, you NEED the offensive line to protect the QB and open up holes for the ball carrier, period. But with a predicatable offensive strategy with little to no chance of it being adjusted in game or during the half time, that makes an already struggling o-line look even worse.marcuswyo said:I would be fine with keeping the spread offense at Wyoming. The spread is an equalizer, Joe Tiller spoke about this during the Fresno game. The thought of running the pro style gives me nightmares about Joe Glenn's last few years, even though that might be a talent issue ( I'm sure it was)?
Pro, spread, option, pistol, etc. It doesn't matter what style we run if the o-line can't do its job. Part of it is on recruiting, but part of it is also on the coaches. And our o-line has been sub-par going back to Joe Glenn.BeaverPoke said:LasCrucesPoke said:I left him out just because you never know with injuries, but I totally agree. We need a big wideout.
