I think coach takes this more seriously than we give him credit for.

He hears footsteps from the mob and he wants to keep his $1.25M...

You know, here is the cool part about this loss to CSU (i'm mad as hell we lost, but oh well, I should probably find other things to be mad about - maybe cancer - but anyways), he has never lost to CSU during his time at Wyoming.

I doubt he has ever felt his butt getting warm from fans, but this single loss will probably (or really should) make him wake up and go win some games.

BTW, Joe Tiller had a 3-3 record against CSU.

I expect more wins, but we've seen them get Ole #6'ed so many times under his watch that I am losing (maybe have lost) my patience. Can't go out and get O#6'ed to csu and not twice in his 5th season with his best team. Prove me wrong HCDC and beat San Joser!

I'm frustated too! I hope we go out and beat San Jose up pretty good.

Wick says it all about recruiting:

(paraphrasing) I had no other choice. The other two schools to offer were Northern Colorado and Sac State, I had to go to Wyoming if I wanted to play the big schools.

Awesome.

He is a hell of a running back - makes the rest of the running back corps look weak. He is a diamond in the rough. I hope the coaches prepare better for the next game - he'll do some damage when the entire offense is participating on the right page.

Yep. Wick is a pretty good back. Likes to do a lot of downhill running. More of a powerback than a speedback, not to say he doesn't have speed, he does, but it definitly works for him.

When he gets proper blocking, speed doesn't matter. When he doesn't - he still makes a few yards - He has some heart fromolwyoming. CSU came to play - we didn't. Reminds me of the 44-0 a few years back - just reversed.... :(

There is pain in HCDC's voice while he is going through the "highlights". I hope this was the wakeup call that the staff and players needed.

Same here. If the team that went blow for blow with Nebraska and kickked the crap out of Air Force shows up, we have a good shot of winning a couple more games at least. If its the team that "showed up" for the Border War and the Texas State game, we'll be lucky to win again.

Part of that could be that we are already a yong team and won't have a lot of scholarships freed up from graduation, plus guys like Ethan Wood who will probably be awarded one, doesn't leave as many for incomong freshmen as most years. That's just speculation on my part though

Is anyone else worried about our state of recruiting??? It is damn near November and we have 2 commits?!
No....there are a lot of good players out there. And, Wyoming never gets a bunch of early commits.

DC said that the second bye week they would be our recruiting all over.

I did see safety recruit Jaeden Graham at the game sporting his Cherry Creek lettermen's jacket. He looked like he was enjoying himself...but this was early in the game. Other than the crap we witnessed on the field, everything else was solid....field, stadium, crowd, weather, etc.

Joe Tiller's losses were all to Sonny Lubick, 2 of which were against CSU teams that won the league.

DC's wins have come against CSU teams that have gone 3-9, 3-9, 3-9, 4-8, to with a historic beatdown at the hands of a team slated to be 5-7 or so. Not really comparable.

Aside from the most recent game....DC has taken care of business. Twice with a Wyoming team with a losing record. Both of those wins happen to be blowouts.

Tiller's wins were against teams that went 3-8, 5-7, and 7-5 (1996). While he lost to teams that went 5-6 (we finished 8-4), 10-2, and 8-4.

Doesn't DC have something like a whopping total of 5 wins against teams with a winning record?

Would you like me to bring facts into the matter, because I know for sure the majority of Tillers wins were against losing teams, hence why we went 10-2 and got no bowl. ButI guess we could call games against Louisville and Okie St and Iowa st all signature wins for our program at the time, right?

Don't worry, I'm bored and have to stay up all night, I think I'll check out those great wins we had under good ol' Mediocre Joe.
